Because Mr. Salinas had done a remodeling job to enlarge the bedroom of my house which seemed to be done properly, but it really wasn't. I found many flaws. He did not put insulation in some of the walls. However, I did not realized that some things were not done properly until later after lost contact with him. Anyway, after he finished the room enlargement job, he convinced me to let him install the attic windows. I gave JP Salinas $400.00 deposit to purchase windows. He measured the windows as if he was going to buy them. He even sent his worker to measure the windows but he never bought the windows. He did not install the windows and did not return my money. He had no intention of installing the windows, it was a scam. We exchanged email messages a few times with him providing all sort of excuses. I finally realized that I had been scammed and filed a complaint against. Mr. Salinas was ored to return the money but never did.

Jose came over and bidded on my roof i had 3 other companies come over (sear, home depote, glaixie and JPOSchicgo) Jose pleaded me to let him do it, he even brought over a friend as a person of interest and promise of the work. He was to do a complete tear off, removing and ridding me of the racoons. making the face the the building more presentable and fixing the faicia and fiscia.He start but never completed the work. when i called him in march tho june he complained it was too hot and said when its cooled off he will complete the work. i called him in july no answer emailed him in july no responce, called him in Aug and threaten to sue email the same thing no response. it is now setember and the work is still undone My recommendation is anyone looking for reroof or other repairs not hire this company, to me they are toltally untrust worthy

Do not hire this guy! I really wish I would have checked Angie's List before hiring this guy and even so, he goes by so many different compnay names (now I know why) that I don't think I would have been able to find him on here. I concur with the other review on here...worst experience of my life. This is a LONG drawn out story, so I'll try and summarize as much as possible. I found Jose Salinas through another website, ServiceMagic.com. Service it was not. Magic it was not. He came out to give me an estimate to build a garage with a rooftop deck. He said he had experience buidling them in the past and that's why I chose him over the others. Don't be fooled by the estimate he gives you. It will increase and in the long run it pays to choose a qualfied and reputable contractor. Again, this is a long story, so to make it short. He didn't know what he was doing. He lied repeatedly. He was confrontational. He was unprofessional. I could go on and on. Ultimately I fired him, but not before he had $13k of my money and I ended up with a partially completed garage. And lots of stress over this!!! I don't think he is a licensed contractor and I doubt he has insurance. His workers were friendly and accommodating. Since I speak Spanish it made it easier to communicate directly with the workers than with Jose. Angie's List...You need to take this company/person/phone number off your website before some other unsuspecting customer goes through this h***.

The worst possible experience of my life. Now that I look back on papwerwork there were documents from Jose Salinas (the owner), Counterpoint Construction (license/insurance), and JPSalinas-Designs (my quote). They were to start work right away. First weekend they no-showed (weekend of 7/15); by Monday he claimed he fired his workers for not showing up (all an act). They tried to break up cement with just regular hammers, and the workers were bleeding by days end (all Mexican, only one spoke english). It took battling back and forth for them to come out, several payments later, I paid for supplies and cement to cement delivery and by 11/15, all was poured. They even cemented closed my carport parking gate! They stole (even garden plants), made a huge mess of my back yard for months, stored excess unrelated supplies, didn't have proper tools, had NO idea what they were doing and within weeks after each pour the cement started coming up. Jose constantly used intimidation to get more money and his worker literally begged for money. I paid VERY little after the up front deposit other than in supplies. Avoid this man like the plague!
