They came to check the A/C most recently. They are very honest, reasonably priced. We've been using them since 1987 and have never had a problem.

I will use them again if needed.

Came home late at night to find A/C not working. Was in a jam because we both work and can't be home during business hours to let in repairmen. Left Ascot a voicemail describing problem. They called at 7am next morning saying they could be there by 8am and problem was fixed in time for me to get to work. Replaced a broken capacitor and gave me descriptive tips on how to avoid problems with A/C in the future. Honest, quick response, quick work, very impressed.

We are engaged in a whole-house, down-to-the-studs renovation with the addition of a shed dormer.  The small, old furnace was not up to the task, and no ductwork existed to the attic, which we are finishing.

Ascot Systems installed new ductwork throughout the house, replacing the antiquated stuff on the main floor and running new up to the attic.  Doug and his crew installed a new high-efficiency furnace and AC.  They took extra time to think about the layout of the rooms, what that implied for the placement of furniture, and accordingly where best to locate supply and return-air vents.  They did this rather than just put them in the easiest, quickest, cheapest location.  Since some of the bedrooms are small, this genuinely makes a difference.  Similarly, they located ductwork in the basement so as to minimize the effect on ceiling height.   

We've dealt with a number of contractors throughout the course of our project, and the owner, Doug, has been the best as dealing with our many questions, answering them clearly, completely, and promptly. 

In short, this is a case in which we think we received premium service at an excellent price.  We strongly recommend Ascot Systems and will certainly use them again.

For any service or maintenance call, the Ascot service person is always friendly, swift and communicative.  Really glad we can rely on these guys.

Ascot Systems has been to my home twice in the past month, once to clean my furnace and the second time to fix a problem. Both technicians were extremely polite and knew exactly what they were doing. I would highly recommend Ascot Systems to anyone in the Chicagoland area!

My old ac unit was not cooling the house. I had a different company come out a month earlier and they were unable to fix my cooling issue. Ascot came out and not only cleaned the unit better but they also found my problem....a freon leak. The installed more freon and my house was cool again. Very professional and good at what they do. Highly recommend them.

I had recently had a new chimney liner installed, and some days later, when I went to turn on the boiler for the first time of the season, it would not turn on.  I was sure that the masonry guys had flipped some switch, or something similar, as the boiler is fairly new and gave no problems previously, but I could not find it,  and even after switching off, cutting power, etc.  Contacted Doug (whom I had previously contacted for an estimate on the liner install) by email in the evening, and he sent out someone promptly, early the next AM.
As I expected, there was a very unobtrusive switch (to an automatic damper) that had been inadvertently moved by the liner installers, who were masonry guys that did chimney work at the same time.  Once the position of the switch was corrected, the boiler fired up with no problem.
  The system's draft was checked, and a carbon monoxide metering done to make sure all was well.
I was not happy to have to pay for the service call due to the carelessness of the liner guys, but was happy with the responsiveness of Ascot, and the knowledge exhibited by the technician.
Wish I would have known about Ascot before I had the boiler installed by Airko!  (My review of Airko is on Angie's List,)

We have used Ascot for heating and air conditioning needs for several decades.  As in the past this service call was completed in a thorough and professional manner.  We usually see the same servicemen year after year.

I am a housebound senior on oxygen with complex medical problems related to my breathing.  In this extreme heat, it seemed that my new air conditioner wasn't working properly:  the setting on the thermostat was much much lower than the actual temperature in the room.  Breathing was nearly impossible.  Another company came out and said nothing was wrong.  I was prepared to buy a new air conditioner as my health was deteriorating.  However, someone recommended Ascot to me and even though they were extremely busy, given my medical emergency they came out right away(on a Saturday).  George spent so much time carefully explaining everything to me and answering my many questions.  I was impressed with his knowledge and patience.  He was pretty sure the old coil was the problem and suggested we try that before I purchase a new unit.  He went to get the part himself early Monday morning and came back with Kevin who also took care to explain everthing to me before he left.   The house was cooled down instantly.  Two days later it is still running strong, so I think George was probably right.  Ascot not only responded quickly to my emergency, but saved me the price of a new unit. I can't say enough about how thankful I am for the service they provided.  From now on, they are the only contractor for me.
I am not a member of Angie's list, so I have asked my friend to submit this on my behalf, as she is a member and recommended Ascot to me.

They offer senior citizen discounts.  They are very good.

George and Kevin were quick and efficient.  The work was finished in under 3 hours, with everything cleaned up perfectly.
They had plenty of time to give me detailed instructions on maintenance of the new equipment.  Their verbal instructions were clear and thorough.  I feel well prepared to maintain this new equipment responsibly.
They know what they're doing and they are also gracious and very good at explaining technical details to a homeowner.  No question was too small and they showed a huge amount of patience.
Their bill was exactly what they quoted, without additions or surprises.

It went very well. They were on time and did what they were supposed to do. They were in and out. When I had some questions they promptly returned to take a look at what I was questioning. I will use them again in the future.

I was happy and impressed the tech removed his shoes prior to entering my home, so that my carpet did not get dirty from his shoes. I didn't asked nor prompted him. I will definitely use their service again.
