 + -1 moreI LEFT MESSAGES AFTER JUNE 15 TO SCHEDULE THE JOB, HE NEVER RETURNED THE CALLS. HE DID CALL AFTER ABOUT AUGUST 15, BUT HE TOLD ME HE WAS REALLY BUSY AND WOULD GET TO ME THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST. AT THAT TIME, I DID TELL HIM ABOUT CHANGING THE JOB FROM SANDING THE LIVING ROOM TO SANDING AND REFINISHING THE REST OF THE STAIRS AND UPSTAIRS LANDING. HE SAID IT WOULD COST ABOUT THE SAME. HE NEVER CALLED TO RESCHEDULE. I KEPT CALLING HIM, ABOUT ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH AFTER THAT, BUT HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS.
Description of Work: MR. HOPPER, OF ALL CHICAGO FLOOR SANDING, CAME TO MY HOUSE TO ESTIMATE A JOB. HE WROTE AN ESTIMATE TO SAND AND REFINISH MY TWO LANDINGS AND LIVING ROOM FOR $450. I GAVE HIM A $150 DEPOSIT. HE WAS TO DO THIS DURING MY SPRING BREAK, WHICH WAS THE SECOND WEEK OF APRIL, WHEN I WAS OFF SCHOOL. AS IT TURNED, I HAD TO POSTPONE THE JOB UNTIL JUNE 15 OR LATER AND I CALLED MR. HOPPER TO TELL HIM THIS. I TOLD HIM TO KEEP THE $150 DEPOSIT, BECAUSE I FELT BAD TO POSTPONE AND ALSO TO LET HIM KNOW THAT I WAS SERIOUS IN GETTING HIM TO DO THE JOB.

 + -1 moreIN THE BEGINNING HE WAS PROMPT, PLEASANT, ETC. I WAS HERE FOR ONLY TWO DAYS OF THE JOB (THE JOB WAS TO BE COMPLETED IN THREE DAYS). HE WAS SUPPOSED TO MEET MY HUSBAND ON THE FOURTH DAY. HE CALLED AND SAID HE COULDNT MEET US BECAUSE HE WAS GOING OUT OF TOWN. HE HAS NOT RETURNED PHONE CALLS OR GET THE CERTIFIED MAIL. HE DID A HORRIBLE JOB. WEVE HAD TO HAVE THEM COMPLETELY REDONE. THE SANDING WAS DONE POORLY, AS WELL AS THE STAINING. IT WAS NOT SOMETHING ANYONE WOULD BE SATISFIED WITH. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!
