This experience was a nightmare. Called for repair of boiler, which was making a noise, and was informed by Marco (owner) that needed new boiler, old one beyond repair. Marco emphasized his many years' experience in boiler work, and he said he would do the installation himself.. The day after the first visit, on a Sunday, he sent another worker, "Bob," to remove old boiler, although he would not have the replacement until the next day. As it was cold out, used space heaters for the day without any central heating. Asked Bob about village permit, and was told by Bob that one was not necessary (which I later found to be untrue) Bob left a pile of rust powder on a fairly new concrete driveway, staining it with rust, when removing the old boiler. He later tried to remove the rust from the concrete, at my insistence, but made it worse, and the result is a larger defect on the concrete.
Installation (done by Bob) was botched, no backflow preventer put on until I insisted this was needed (after discussing with plumbing expert at state's Attorney General's office to learn what needed to be done.) Expansion tank put on wrong side of the unit from what was in boiler mfr specs (which I obtained from mfr) Bob damaged wooden blinds on door to my home, breaking some off, and left me to discover myself (although he did admit when asked about the noted damage). He had taken the broken pieces away from the door, not mentioning the mishap to me! Attempt to reach Marco unsuccessful...could only speak with Bob or "Georgia" at the office, and Marco was never available...per Georgia, he was either out of town, or too ill with his "plantar fasciitis" to speak with me.
Bob was friendly enough, but in my opinion was not qualified to do the work properly, or had been instructed to do the minimum necessary. The day after he said the installation was complete, there was leaking water. He returned, and shut off the valve to the boiler, and said that would be good enough, when the valve actually needed to be replaced, so that the valve to the unit could remain open. (If the unit had subsequently developed any kind of leak, it could go dry with that valve shut off, thus creating a safety hazard>) There was also some kind of overflow that had been installed incorrectly, so that the discharge of hot water would eject out the side of the unit, as opposed to be directed downward to avoid scalding a nearby person.
The boiler was to be under warranty, but did not receive any papers from Airko regarding it. Was told by Georgia that the mfr, Laars, would mail warranty to me. Contacted Laars, and was told this was untrue, and they had no record of the installation. They instructed me on how to register the boiler for the warranty.
Had paid half of the $3000 fee up front. Called another company in to rectify the problems with the installation to get it to mfr specs, which is needed to have valid warranty. The other company charged me $1500 to inspect, move the tank to proper location, and some other adjustments needed to bring up to specs.
Was later contacted by Marco's attorney for payment of balance, to which I replied with refusal and copy of invoice from second company that rectified the inadequate installation. I was more than ready to go to court about this!

Their service is terrible, they say they are going to come one day and they never show, the quality of the work is bad and they put used parts on when I paid for new. They never finish their work and they are very difficult to deal with. I had a city inspector come out and he told me that they had not installed the boiler right. The state says you have to have a safety shut off valve by law and they did not install that either. I have tried several times to get them to fix this problem but they are just awful to deal with. My tenants are freezing and all they have is excuses! I have nothing nice to say about this company...

THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRESPONSIVE WHEN ISSUES ARISE. THEY INSTALL THINGS IMPROPERLY AND THEN WAIT FOR CUSTOMERS TO CALL AGAIN ONCE SOMETHING FAILS. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY - THEY DON'T CALL BACK ANYWAY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

ENTIRELY UNPROFESSIONAL, LIED TO ME ABOUT A NUMBER OF ISSUES. TOOK 4 DAYS TO INSTALL THE NEW FURNACE (AFTER PROMISING THAT IT WOULD BE DONE THE FIRST DAY). LEFT THE OLD FURNACE IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE REMOVING IT. RUINED THE BASEMENT CARPET BY DRAGGING DIRTY EQUIPMENT THROUGH. REFUSED TO RESPOND TO MY CALLS.
