Chris did a fantastic job. He was able to work me in on a Saturday two weeks earlier from his original date. Not only did he connect the line to the meter, also dug the trench for the line. Very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Will be my go to guy for future gas installs or repairs.

ll remember him in the future.I haven't been able to use my gas log fireplace in years. It was impossible to light and the pilot would never stay lit. I contacted the Gas Guy. Chris came out, cleaned the pilot, changed the thermocouple, added embers, put a longer stem on the gas knob and I was sitting in front of a beautiful fire that very night. Chris was very polite, thorough and informative. I would recommend him to anyone needing experience concerning natural gas connections and I will remember him in the future. Plus, he's a really nice guy.

Chris asked about my issue and what I was trying to accomplish. He walked me step by step through the process and added tips that might make my task easier. Chris took the time to ensure I understood what needed to be done. He asked if I had any questions, and let me know when he was available if I had further issues. Chris did this very professional and he was very polite. I will be definitely contacting Chris and his business in the future for any natural gas needs we may have.

Chris installed fireplace doors we purchased from Fireworks in Rockford. He was prompt, did an excellent job, and gave tips on how to maintain the product moving forward. He wasn't at the house to install a new gas starter pipe but I asked his opinion on ours, as it has warped quite a bit since initial use and he replaced it for me at the same time for a fair price. Chris is knowledgable and does top notch work. I highly recommend him for any of your fireplace needs.

Chris did a great job installing a gas line for my kitchen stove.  He was professional, fair, and honest.  I would highly recommend Chris for any gas work needed.  

It went so well! Chris explained everything in detail for us so that we could re-light the pilot light on our own next time and save the cost of another service call. Our pilot light kept going out and the logs would not stay lit.  It was a refurbished unit that we had for a month before it went south. As we had problems installing it, the company furnished us with a replacement gas regulator.  Chris took the unit apart and tested all the mechanisms and found that the part the company sent was defective.  Since we had the original, he replaced it and explained what to expect and how to clean the logs. The original part worked. We now have a good flame and a warm house.
 He was efficient, cheerful, and careful in his work.  I will definitely call him again if we have any need in the future.

Chris arrived a little past our scheduled time but he called to let me know he would be late.  This was not a problem.  He worked quickly explaining what he was doing and he welcomed questions along the way.  He cleaned the inside of the fireplace and told us the only problem was the pilot assembly and showed us how to clean it in the future.

When I called Chris to describe the problem with my pool heater, he knew exactly what I was talking about, ordered the part I needed, and came to do the repair as soon as the part arrived. He explained in detail what had caused the problem and how he resolved it. -- and he saved me quite a bit of money by his being able to install new parts over my having to get a new heater. I was extremely pleased with his service -- he even called as we were waiting for the delivery of the replacement part to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

Chris Chism was super friendly and professional. I could not be more happy with how it went.
I did the trenching myself.
Chris put a 'T' connector on the output of the gas meter and installed a heavy duty riser and 1 1/4" plastic gas line.
I had a couple areas where we had to go under some drain line and it was no problem.
He ran the pipe to the concrete slab with the 2nd riser and secured it to the concrete slab using a hammer drill and masonry screws. He put a 1 1/4" to 3/4" inch 90 degree adapter on the riser and plugged it.
He also ran a tracer wire all along the gas line and left ample slack at each end for connections.
He used a gas sensor to check for any leaks along the whole line and at the riser connections.
He is hard working, personable and honest. I would use him again today.
