MIKE SPOHR BUILDERS

I paid Mike $7000 (plus material) to install drywall in my basement and hang 4 new bedroom doors. The end result was absolutely horrible and embarrassing. Every single corner looks like garbage (look at the photos). All the walls are wavy and drywall joints look horrible. Tons of nail pops. Nothing is straight or level. Many of the outlets and lights were cut too large which the cover plates do not cover. The doors he installed did not close right and had large uneven gaps. Each door had to be reinstalled. I had to hire another drywall company to come out and try to fix all Mike's mistakes, which cost me another $5000. They told me this is, without a doubt, the worst drywalling job they have ever seen. And to top it all off, he took all the leftover material with him that I purchased. I want my money back, even if I have to take legal actions to get it.

I called Mike to help my mom with a leak on her roof.  He was very prompt and went out to see her right away.  Around Aug 2, he did the repair work.  My mom was very pleased with his ability to get the job done quickly and for a reasonable amount of money.  He said he guaranteed his work and to call him with any problems. Unfortunately, about two weeks later, during the next major rainstorm the roof leaked again.  My mom called and Mike came back out to check the problem and said he had repaired the issue.  Several weeks later it leaked again.  My mom tried to call him again but she is not getting a response and there is no longer an answering machine to leave a message.  So now she has to call roofers again to find someone who will repair a leak that should've been fixed.

Mike,Did all the work himself and kept us in the loop each day. He also clean up daily.He did not try to upsell us but did point out the product differences we could use.He offers a great guarantee too!

Mike was very professional and efficient.  The roof looked great when he was done.

Mike stopped by after a hard rain a few weeks later to make sure there were no leaks! 

If you have pets Mike is great with them.  My dogs can be a nuisance and he handled them with ease.

I highly recommend contacting Mike before committing on any projects.

His bid was very competitive and I knew from previous experience he would go above and beyond to make sure it was right. 

Mike is easy to work with, answers all your questions clearly and speaks his mind on the best way to do things.  That's something you can't get from a seller contracted crew!
