PRECISION HARDWOOD FLOORING

nceWarning - Buyer beware with this organization. Finish cuts were poorly done. Found heavy marks still remaining in flooring edges and in bathroom. Found a circular burn mark in the bathroom, where the sanding disc clearly cut into the flooring. The provider applied one coat of stain and one coat of finish to the floor and left easily visible areas around the edge of the floor that did not have any stain applied. When we asked the provider to remedy this unsatisfactory work, he advised that he could not do it for the price of the original estimate ($1/sf). He advised that he required $3/ft to finish the work. We advised that all we were asking for was for him to complete the staining of the areas that he obviously missed. He refused and walked off of the job. We asked why he was walking off of the job. He became verbally abusive and threatened to place a mechanics lien on the house. We later contacted the provider to find out why he walked off of the job and why he became verbally abusive. He became verbally abusive on the phone call as well and restated that we owed him more money, and if we did not pay he would place a lien on the house. We countered that he had not completed the work, the work was unsatisfactory and given the unprofessional manner in which he handled our request to remedy the work, we did not want him to complete the work. Last Friday, we received a Claim of Lien that had been filed at the County Recorder's. We will obviously fight the claim, which will further delay, and most likely, add to the cost of our project. This provider does not deserve your trust or your hard earned money.
