Mr. Humphrey was secured to perform a rennovation of our home after we suffered a fire at the hands of a plumber we hired back in March 2010. Mr. Humphrey accepted the project and $18,000.00 to begin the rennovations that would cost over 70 thousand dollars. Mr Humphrey agreed that he would do all damaged interior demolition, order new windows and install them and secure a Belleville certified electrician to perform the necessary electrical replacements. This arrangement began on 1/8/2011. Mr. Humphrey received a check for $5,000.00 for permits and demo and $12,800.00 for custom window ordering and securing an electrician. On approximately 4/12/2011 after many excuses as to why the progress of the repairs had pretty much come to a stand still, Mr. Humphrey stopped returning my phone calls and disappeared with our $18,000.00, incomplete demo of my interior damage, no windows ordered and no electrician secured. According to calculations based on the insurance adjuster's paperwork, Mr. Humphrey accomplished approximately $2,509.71 of the necessary work. I have reported him to the police department and states attorney and have contacted a lawyer but believe we are just out our money for our home repairs.
