Personal Touch 4 U

A friend mentioned she was having some rooms repainted, and though the work was still in progress, she was very pleased with the new contractor she had hired to do the work.  I went to see the work in progress and noticed the excellent prep work and attention to detail.  So I called Andy to ask if he'd like to give me a price on painting three rooms in my house, including some repairs to the plaster/drywall.  He was very responsive and came out to walk through the job.  He emailed a proposal the next day, then contacted me again shortly after to say he had reviewed the job and could lower the price a bit further (then sent a revised proposal).  He said it was a 3 day job.  We set a schedule for the job to begin, and he contacted me a few times to make sure that the paint color and finish was exactly what I wanted.  We spoke the day before the work was to begin, to confirm.  I reminded him I was going out of town on Day 4, so the work had to be done in 3 days.  He and his crew arrived as scheduled.  In each room, they moved furniture away from walls and covered everything with tarps.  They spent a lot of time on prep work, often fixing dings and divits that had existed for years (and weren't fixed during previous paints jobs).   They closed off the room with tarps at the doorway when there was dusty work being done (e.g., repair work).  Each day, they vacuumed dust and cleaned up and put away tools.  To my amazement, the work was wrapped up at the end of the 3rd day -- and they left everything in such good shape that within an hour I had finished my final dust up and put back fragile items and was back living in the three rooms.  He said he'd need to come back with a special brush for a very small space between some trim in the bathroom; he contacted me the day after I got back and came that day to finish that up, also fixing a few edges he wasn't satisfied with.  Andy and his crew were polite, professional and respectful of my home and belongings at all times.   I'm already talking to him about another project here in the spring.
