Mike came by to provide a quote to put in an outlet in our garage. He was super quick to respond to my original Angie's List post and showed up on time. So far, so good. In order to scope out the work, he opened up a light switch and poked around to understand the circuitry. In the process, he seemed to have taken out power to the whole garage and insisted it was not his fault. He spent a while trying to troubleshoot and eventually settled on rigging up a temporary solution bringing power to the house through an extension cord that he spliced onto a different outlet. This left us with what felt like a dangerous situation. During troubleshooting, Mike insisted this was not his fault and didn't even re-open the switch he had initially poked at to see if there was an issue there. He seemed to be in a rush and his approach to problem solving seemed centered on telling me it was not his fault instead of figuring out what had happened. I was very disappointed with this service and will go with a different service provider in the future.

"I think we’ve have a miscommunication somewhere down the road, and that may be entirely my fault. I arrived to a quote to add an additional receptacle in the garage. In the process I found what seemed to be a “lost neutral” in the system. It’s true, I was in a bit of a hurry that morning. I installed a safe and temporary solution to provide power for the costumer to use the overhead garage door while moving in. We set a future appointment to add the receptacle and properly troubleshoot the issue. I did say that I didn’t think it was my fault, but if it was she wouldn’t be charged for this portion. She seemed happy and we went ahead with the schedule. Under no circumstances was I led to believe that this was unacceptable, including the temporary fix. Had I known it wasn’t, I would have stayed to fix the issue. I may have read the situation incorrectly. I would’ve been happy to remedy the situation for you."

Excellent on all jobs. Mike has been doing work for me on various jobs for the last year. My house is 100 yrs old and needed (and still needs) a lot of electrical work done. I have dealt with many workmen - especially in the last year - and Mike is in the top tier of quality work at a fair price.

.One of my light fixtures had come down dur to a wind storm and was dangling outside the garage. Micheal, the owner, came out to look at the fixture and said it was not salvageable, so he put a cover on it and told me that once I found a new fixture he would come back out to install it for us. He waited patiently for me to find an approriate fixture and didnt even charge me for the emergency service. He is just great and we would give him a thumbs up!

Mike arrived on time and was friendly and organized. He went over the items to be installed and reviewed the agreed upon cost with us. Mike installed a ceiling fan/light combo fixture and a pendant light in our kitchen. He worked efficiently and finished the jobs quickly. He cleaned up and disposed of any debris and made sure we had the parts from the fixtures that were not needed for the installation. We were very pleased with the service he provided and his professionalism.

Mike was outstanding, professional, very friendly and quick to respond. His estimate was the lowest of 3 that I got, saved us 20% at least. He arrived exactly on time, and pointed out that we only needed 5 units instead of the 6 I thought, saving us even more. The work was done quickly, neatly and efficiently. Even better, 5 days later he called to say there had been a recall on our model detector, and came over just to verify that ours did not need to be replaced. While he was here, he double-checked all the units to make sure they were working correctly. I would definitely use him again, recommend his to anyone.

After years of searching for an electrician who could do my recessed lighting for a reasonable price and minimal damage I found Mike. He was able to come in and do the job quickly with only damage in one room. Every other quote I recessed was going to have to rip up the ceiling in both rooms. Any future electrical jobs will definitely go to Parkside.

Mike was quick to respond and we were able to get an appointment quickly. He arrived on time and diagnosed and fixed the problem. We have more work that needs to be completed on the same project as its a problem of the original installation on our house 20 years ago. However, he was able to put on a band aid until we are ready to have project completed. His pricing is reasonable and does quality work. Had a quote for double the price from our septic guy to do same service. Glad I called a licensed electrician and Mike was great. Will definitely be using him for future needs.

It was very easy to work with Parkside Electric. Mike returned my call right away and was on time. Estimate provided without any drama and the work was completed shortly thereafter. Installing the ceiling fan required a piece of drywall to be cutout. The patching was a little rough.

We were having an issue with our smoke detectors and had Mike from Parkside Electrical come out. He identified the problem and was able to re-wire the smoke detectors so they worked properly. For an hour of service the cost seemed a bit high, but we have never had to hire an electrician before and were glad for the help.

Mike was very responsive. He contacted me immediately after I had requested a quote; he asked for a few details and provided a quote. He was able to come out to do the job on the day I requested. He arrived on time and got to work. Mike did a great job! I had just painted the ceiling and after Mike installed the light, it looked great; no nicks or dirty fingerprints. In addition to installing the new light fixture, Mike was able to give me some advice about moving a chandelier. Excellent work, fabulous service - I will definitely use Mike again.

Mike was great, he was prompt on arrival time, spent just a few minutes evaluating all the work involved so that he could give me a quote. His quote was reasonable so we had him do the work. It seemed straight forward and easy, however he ran into a snag with a faulty piece of equipment. He fixed the equipment for me and did not charge me for that work or the extra time it took him to do it.
