Our upgraded carpet was installed 2 years ago. This summer a big ripple appeared in my daughter's bedroom. Rippled up not quite 2". We have an attached garage and despite all the rugs and shoes off in the house policy, the stairs up to the bedrooms get heavily tracked. I used Custom Group before at my previous home and know they are one of the few companies that can do multiple clean/repair carpet jobs well. Scheduling was a breeze. Their quote was very reasonable. They sent a crew out based on the phone estimate. When they got on site they realized the room and furniture set up required different equipment and another visit. They were clearly concerned about getting things right AND making sure I was OK with the second visit and increased cost. I was. But I got the feeling they would have worked out some other useful solution if the price increase had been a problem. (ie, there did not pressure or confuse me). The second guy came with a very clear understanding of the assignment. He looked everything over thoroughly and then explained the process. Before he started he told me that he thought it might have been installed incorrectly. He suggested I call the place I bought the carpet to see if it was still under warranty. (It was not...rats!). I was impressed that on the 2nd service call they offered me an option where it was the right and honest advice, but could have bumped them from the job. He showed me where the installation had gone wrong and what he was going to do to resolve it. He worked quickly and carefully with concern for my home and my small children. I would use them again in a heartbeat! Very impressive. He mentioned that they do a lot of commercial apartment building restoration. So they know how to make a carpet last. They also do flood repair damage. A+. Thank you Custom Group!

My tenant's son works for Custom so I decided I would give them a chance in doing some mold remediation due to a flood. A small area of carpet was not salvageable so we had to get it replaced. There was less than 300 sq ft to be covered in carpet. The carpet was installed without sending me an estimate after I asked for one. They installed carpet that the tenant picked out and I was assured that it would be inexpensive. Well, that was not the case. They just installed it and then sent an outrageous bill. When I called to try to get some resolve, they took a message and NEVER called me back. I told the rep that I thought it was outrageous and he referred me to the owner, Steve. Steve never called me to discuss the bill, yet had no issues sending bills by fax and mail continuously.
