I had Sterling Exteriors out to quote on some soffit work that I needed done. They came in mid-September but told me to wait until the end of October to book anything because it would be less expensive. So I waited until the end of October and called. I was told that they were already closing down for the winter but that they had a guy that they worked with who would honor their quotes and do the work. They came back, did a quote, and took pictures to share with their guy. A few days later their referral came out and measured everything. Sterling Exteriors then confirmed what day their guy was going to be coming out. I arranged the financing on my own and had them back out to sign the paperwork and give the the deposit check. When I was giving the deposit check I was told that at that very moment, their guy was out buying the supplies. We were all ready to do. 10 minutes later Sterling Exteriors called back and said that there guy wasn't going to be able to do it because of "a number of issues, but mainly manpower". So they had provided pictures to their guy, confirmed the start date, were in the process of purchasing the required materials, and had a signed work order and deposit. And all of a sudden the guy who was all ready to go couldn't do it. So I said that Sterling needed to do it themselves, but was told no, they were closed for the year and that there was nothing that could be done. It's plainly obvious that Sterling Exteriors under quoted the work and that neither their referral nor Sterling Exteriors themselves would honor the pricing I was given, and that I was being given the run around as to the reason why. When I confronted Sterling Exteriors about this they stopped replying altogether. Very shady business that won't honor their own pricing even after the contract was signed.

My aluminum siding was damaged by hail . Sterling help me file approved claim against insurance company. They replaced with vinyl siding . They even paid my $1000.00 deductible . Very professional company . I recommend . The house looks brand new again .

Everything with Sterling went according to plan. They scheduled the work, and walked me through the whole process. House looks great! Highly recommend them!

Excellent!! We had 3 separate groups of contractors. One group did the roof, another group did the siding and the last group did the gutter down spouts. All the groups did an exceptional job - the roofers replaced rotten wood and cut out extra vents . The siding group did an awesome job on the siding as well as detailing a couple areas that needed fixing. The gutter contractures showed up and finalized the gutter spouts on a Saturday morning. The house looked remarkable after 3 days. Jim Morley worked closely with the crews and the insurance company. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Roof was replaced in one day(08/28), with no problems to be noted. Siding was done two days later, and completed in one day(13 hours). Gutters were done the following week(09/05), and the team on that job installed the gutter screens which I had purchased from Menard, while on sale, for a nominally agreed to price. Since the scope of the claim did not cover the soffit and fascia, we opted to have that work included for a reasonable price to us to pay. The teams used for each aspect of the job did excellent work. I was really impressed with how few little pieces of metal and roofing were missed during their cleanup. Only 2 nails found so far. The one screen that was damaged during the siding installation was promptly repaired on-site. When I found a second one a few days later, the job supervisor, Mike, said he would work with us to compensate me for the repair cost. And, as for Mike, he was , and still is, great to work with. He was always available for questions and answers, did complete inspections of the home before the work began, managed the insurance contacting, and continues to work with us after the job has finished(probably because there are still insurance checks to be issued :) ).

Siding done in 1 day. Gutters/downspouts done in half a day.

It went very well. Work was paid for by State Farm and so far all I have had to pay was my $1000 deductible

Workmen arrived on a super windy day in November and starting ripping off the roof. Roofing paper went flying everywhere in the neighborhood as they missed the receptacle on the driveway. They left many nails in the grass and dirt. Then they got to the siding. They did an good job but I have had them back here 3-5 times to fix workmanship issues. Re: Siding that comes loose and falls; wavy appearance to some siding after install. Stuff that just shouldn't happen. Sterling did several other houses on my block that year and no issues that I could see. It all goes down to the care the workmen take. It was in the late fall, the weather was getting colder and it got darker earlier. They were trying to finish some areas after darkness fell. If they took time, likely few issues. They even lost the decorative screws for my stoop coach light and reattached with a wood screw (didn't inform me either). The quality would be a solid B if I have not had to have them out here so many times (last one was August 16). Also I had to buy a horizontal magnet on wheels to pick up the screws (the ones that were magnetic). I have a box full of them. The others I had to find with a rake (still finding them). No issues getting them out here. The finishing on a job is as important as the appearance. Things need to be tight and not fall off when there is a 40mph wind. They were professional. Price is left blank because of the insurance claim I am giving a C for quality. Too many necessary repair visits due to a crew in a rush. I had aluminum siding for 12 years and only had on incident in that time

I am not happy with quality of installation.  Followed up with company about siding nails not attached to studs in garage.  Sent certified letter and they sent someone out.  He said large 3" nails were supposed to be next to studs not in studs themselves.  Then, he said they would get back to me.  No one has contacted me in the past four weeks.
While exposed, protruding nails in the garage may seem a small issue, I am concerned with the quality of workmanship elsewhere in places that I cannot see.  I do not feel confident recommending or using this company again.

Job was done on time and in timely manner. Insurance claim was submitted so no out of pocket expense, which is why i put NA for price.
A few minor issues; Workers removed satellite dish from roof and I walked out to dish dangling from roof held only by the cable. I didnt tell Sterling, assuming dish company would repair, but did not. Also, air conditioner was not turning on once work was done. However, they did come by same day that I called and repaired it, no charge. Overall, Id say more of a B- than a B.

The service was great.  All work was performed per the contract.  The project manager, Gary, ensured that the project moved forward on time and followed up to complete some additional work need after I had my garage door replaced.  The crew that worked on my house was professional and communicated with me throughout the job to ensure my expectations were met.  When the work was done, the team cleaned up all the debris from the job.  I've recommend Sterling Exteriors to several of my neighbors looking for similar exterior projects.  The best thing though is that my 23 year old house looks great.
