ServiceMaster Barrington Lake Zurich

I called the company the day after the water leak and I had vacuumed up the water.  Katy told me that Chad would come over in 2  hours to assess the needs.  He was right on time.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that he came with an assistant, Tim, and a truck full of equipment- so everything could start immediately.
Earlier I had the insurance company's preferred vendor came by and he merely assessed the needs and said that he would make his report to the insurance company.  I was disappointed when he said that he would not do any disinfectant and could not find where the water had come through the ceiling in the basement.  Chad and Tim would do the disinfectant and found the place in the ceiling.  These are the 2 main reasons that I went with ServiceMaster.
They took moisture readings on all the wood surfaces and on the carpet in the closet.  I thought they did a thorough job,  Then they pulled up the carpet in the closet so that the pad could be dried.  They proceeded to set up the fans and humidifiers in the basement and bathroom/closet area, and disinfecting the bathroom tile and basement rafters.  A cord that ran across the floor was taped down to prevent any tripping. Everything took about 2 hours.
Chad said that he would haul away a number of saturated cardboard boxes that I had brought up from the basement.
The next day Moisius came by to take some moisture readings and check the equipment, and on the following day he returned to take away the equipment.  I was given a time interval for each arrival and he called me with the actual time.  Moisius also hauled away some boxes for me.
No damage to the tile floor caused by the equipment.
A note about the excellent office staff- Katy, Sarah, and Jim .  All are very customer-focused and most responsive.  Sarah worked with my insurance company and responded to my request for an estimate of the electricity cost during the 3 days.  Jim apologized when I told him that my extension cord was accidentally taken away, and it was promptly returned.
All in all a professional job with a courteous staff.  But mine was not an emergency or a catastrophe.
I cannot say if the price is reaonable because I did not do any comparisons.  

I liked the fact that the workers were courteous and very professional. When they were done, the carpet looked fantastic and I was pleased with the quality of their work. I have recommended this company to my friends and neighbors.
