terrific-Stan is fair and honest

Stan came out and replaced our water hammer arrestors on the washer. These high efficiency washers turn the water on and off so much it was causing our pipes to bang / slam which was really annoying. Stan installed one on hot and one on cold and water hammer banging sound is gone. He had installed these a few years ago, and the hardware had a longer warranty, so Stan insisted on purchasing and installing these for us at NO CHARGE because we've been such a loyal customer. He continues to impress us with his responsiveness, honesty, integrity, and quality work. Thank you Stan!

Stan came out today and removed my very old backup sump pump system and replaced it with a new system, connecting to my existing (and fairly new) deep cycle marine battery. As usual, Stan is courteous, professional, meticulous, and bends over backwards to explain everything and ensures I'm completely satisfied with his work and the outcome before he leaves. We've used him for many years and many projects, and he is always fair, honest, and works with complete integrity. We now have far more peace of mind knowing we have a battery backup system that will keep our basement dry in the event of our main pump failure or a power outage.

Working with Stan was an absolute pleasure. He called me back while he was on vacation to get a better understanding of what work I was looking to have completed and provided me with a quote (and some useful information) over the phone. Stan is very knowledgeable and genuine. He completed the work very efficiently and his pricing was very reasonable. While he was at my house I also had him look at a few other things and he did so, at no additional charge and provided me with some suggestions and even showed me where my main water valve is (I recently purchased my first house). I would definitely recommend Halan & Co to anyone needing plumbing services and I plan to work with Stan again in the future.

This is the second time we have had Stan out to fix a problem. We had a leak somewhere in our bathroom and water was dripping down on the ceiling below. It was not an easy leak to find as we had no idea where the water was coming from, just that it must have been coming from the bathroom above. He found the source of the leak quickly and repaired it promptly. As always he was responsive when I called him, on time for the appointment, and was in & out within an hour. Stan takes the time to ask appropriate questions and inform you before he takes any action. I would highly recommend Stan.

Stan arrived right on time, as always. Then he confirmed that he understood the areas in my bathroom to check. Stan first began working on my sink. He cleared the drain and pipe (this has become an annual event). Stan then pointed out to me that the faucet was leaking. He showed me the particle board at the bottom of the vanity under the sink that showed signs of a leak (bubbly). He removed the part responsible for the leaking (stem). I told him I would get him the unmarked faucet’s manufacturer and model number later in the day. Stan suggested that he would replace the stem for both the hot and cold taps (better safe than sorry!). I agreed. Stan then turned off the water supply to the faucet to make sure no more leaking would occur due to accidental use of the faucet. Next, Stan cleared the shower drain. This seemed to go pretty quickly. Finally, Stan checked the toilet to see what might be the problem. Because he had asked me what kind of toilet I have during our initial phone conversation, Stan had the needed part with him (the flap needed to be replaced) to fix the toilet. It didn’t take much time. Stan has been our plumber for just over 12 years. He is a very experienced plumber. He does not waste time because he knows exactly what is needed. Stan is thorough and also asks good questions, which saves time. The bill was less than I expected based on all the work involved.

Stan is our man! This is our second call to him. We had a new sink installed in the kitchen with new countertops. Stan installed our faucet for the new sink. This was a big job because the new sink hung much lower than the old sink which resulted in having to move pipes around and adjust connections. As usual, he did an excellent job with great pricing! We need to have some bathroom faucets installed and I'll be calling Stan. He also gave us very good advice on moving forward with the bathroom faucets; he definitely knows his trade very well. Highly recommend him!

Easy to work with, would use again.

He was very professional. When I called him he actually took the time over the phone to trouble shoot knowing that it may mean he may not need to come out. He was on time, responsive, and very transparent in everything that he saw before he started doing any work. He spotted a couple other things that he informed me about and was upfront about any added costs that I would incur. Extremely knowledgeable and competent. I will be calling him back to help with replacing a kitchen faucet very soon. If you need a plumber, give Stan a call.

Repair was done quickly and neatly.

He promptly called me back within five minutes, set up an appointment within two hours, give me a quote over the phone, and it was actually less than he quoted me when he got here. He was very friendly, efficient, and professional!

It's not always an easy job as corrosion over the years sometimes makes removal difficult, but it wasn't too bad and the job was done promptly and now the faucet works great.

It went very well. Stan showed up on time and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He even came in near the bottom of the estimate he had given me over the phone.

Ejector pump failed Sunday, called and left message for Stan Sunday night asking him to call me back Monday AM. He did so promptly and was able to come out that afternoon. Nicest guy in the world, we trust him completely, and he is so professional and courteous. Very detail oriented, wanted to ensure everything worked perfectly, cleaned up after himself, went above and beyond. Spent well over two hours removing old pump and cover, and replaced with new pump, new piping, new cover, new check valve. He is our go to guy and he has never let us down.

Perfect. The installation is fine. The old toilet was removed and he took it with to dispose of. He also took all the boxes and padding used when the new toilet was delivered. All is well.

Mr. Halan explained the benefits of using a higher quality spigot for an exterior installation. I went with his suggestion. He did a great job. I will definitely use this plumber again.

He responded quickly and did a great job

Stan did a great job over and above expectations. Number one, the faucet I supplied turned out to be loose when almost assembled and Stan suggested we replace it. He waited 30 minutes for me to return and bring back new faucet which turned out incorrect. Again, he just suggested i run back to get correct one which I did. Upon my return, he installed it and then found a leaking copper pipe which he replaced and also added a turnoff valve that was missing. I had noticed this but thought the leak was due to the faucet. Also helped me clear shower head that became clogged due to debris coming through the lines after water was turned back on. He actually ended up spending 3-4 hours and only charged me additional $100 for the extra time. He was quite generous with his time as he indicated it was most important to get the job done right! I will definitely be calling him on next project as he is professional and reasonable person to work with.

Outstanding. He asked me to get the part since he didn't have it in stock, and told me where to buy it. Then he came promptly as soon as I got the part. Just a super person.

Stan was so easy going and explained everything. He was thorough and explained why the cost was going to be much more than a simple sump pump replacement. The sump pump outlet placement was insecure and was at risk of becoming dislodged so he replaced it and secured it. The sump pump put was also filthy and he cleaned out the whole thing. He worked above and beyond what I believe most plumbers would do and is very reasonably priced.

I would highly recommend Stan - he does great work, is professional and takes pride in his work. He has done a couple of jobs for us including fixing a faucet - one of the parts wasn't easily available but Stan kept looking until he tracked down a part that would work. It's nice when you find someone you trust - we will be using Halan Plumbing in the future.
