Home Building
My house was built too low. GBS construction did follow the architectural plans, but did not seem to recognize that the house should have been placed on a higher foundation. This was to be our dream house, but have been in a continuous state of stress whenever we have a tremendous rainstorm being we could flood under the right conditions. Our property does not drain well because of the low foundation. Should the power go out, we have a good chance of flooding. Should the pumps fail, we have a good chance of flooding. The builder gave us a great price and was very much on time, but we will always feel it was partly his responsibility to have help prevent the situation we are in.
