The owner of this "business" is a liar and fraud, he even perjured himself under oath, and has no clue what goes on within his company. He will charge you for material and labor that were not provided, including the permit. The quality of work his company provides is mediocre at best, performed by unskilled workers. There has not been one positive review since he took over in 2019. There are so many honest, hardworking, skilled contractors to choose from, pick one of them.

The work was excellent. I think they did a wonderful job and we were very well satisfied. People from our church have been very well satisfied so we have been using his company.

I'm still working with him. He's really good and I really like him a lot. He's very knowledgeable and he's the only person I can talk about that. They're awesome.

It went great. The electrician went up into the attic to remove the can lights and install electrical boxes in their place. (Later, I bought pendant lights from Home Depot and installed them with little effort since the box was already in place to do so.) The carpenter ripped 2x4s on a bevel and attached them to the wall just below the ceiling. Then he was able to securely attach the crown molding to the 2x4 base. It was really good that he had the base in place first, despite it costing more in materials and time. The walls were not perfectly straight, but he was able to minimize the gaps between the molding and the ceiling/walls by fastening the molding to the base instead of to the drywall hoping to hit a stud.
In a separate project on a previous date they also installed 3 ceiling fans and a whole-house fan. This required the electrician to cut holes in the ceilings, tap into the existing wiring and add electrical boxes, and then attach the fans. He worked 3 long days, some of it up in a very hot attic, and was as polite as a guy could be. He even cleaned up when the job was completed as though he lived here.

Mr. Dawson provided the estimate, performed some of the work and checked on the work being done fairly often. He was very personable and punctual. All of the workers that came to our home were pleasant and neat. The wood windows, doors and trim were installed prior to staining them which seemed less than practical to us. We were assured that the painter was excellent, and this would not be a problem. There was at least a week of waiting for painter who indeed was excellent. The painters apprentices were well trained and polite, but very slow, and did damage to the window tracks as they were removed for staining. The walls surrounding the doors and windows also needed touch-up paint because the wood stain bled. We had workers in our home for weeks...which is never easy, and the inside of the house reeked of varnish for days.
In the end, the windows and doors look nice and there are no leaks. We suspect some of the paint cost was because of the installation prior to staining issue-although we did say that we should not have to pay extra for that. Mr. Dawson recommended Windsor windows over Pella windows. We went with the Windsor windows which were cheaper and perform well-however they did not qualify for tax rebates and do not make window pulls (which are desperately needed) to match the other window hardware.
In summary...really nice, really punctual, not really well thought out work.

We had no problems. Pella sent some product that had some streaks between the thermal panes and John took care of this for us and we have 8 new windows. They are crank out windows so we have 2 sections with each window. We would recommend him and use him in the future.
