No reply from company at all. Not even an email saying the job wasn't in their parameters or that they were too busy. Very disappointed that we did not even receive a courtesy reply.

What an awesome company. This is our second pool we have built. Compared to our first experience in Tx . Barrington was awesome. From the design to the build Barrington treat us like we were their only client. The went out of their way to make sure we were informed of the next steps and that we were satisfied with each phase. Eddie did a great job on the designed. Ray and the crew respected our yard and our time. We were told by others who had pools built by them they were worth what they charge. They were right.

Poor response to phone calls. Poor maintenance of pools and spa on property. Poor staff. Different staff almost every visit. Poor job cleaning pools and spa. Twice weekly visits and pool chemistry is never correct Scale build up on new tile. Service staff left drain valve open and the next morning my pool was half empty. Company did pay to have water trucked in to re-fill the pool but did not use chlorine free shock when I told them I had an event the following day. The over chlorination to shock the pool resulted in red burning eyes and made the pool unusable.

I could highly recommend Barrington Pools Inc. They were fair and they weren't trying to rip me off.

Their price was reasonable. They do an excellent job of installation, and I chose them because of their reputation.

I have used them for maintenance for 3 years. I have employed great patience in dealing with their customer service. I called them to service a boiler in the spa building. The service man said it was not Barrington Pools' responsibility. I employed 2 plumbers to fix the problem, spending $1000.00. This boiler is very complicated and they provided only temporary fixes. A followup visit by a Barrington Pool employee for a maintenance visit reported that he installed the boiler! He fixed the (still existant) leak and I had to pay an ADDITIONAL $800.00!! The customer service manager told me that the error was made by me because when I initially called I wasn't specific enough.

They came out to check the chemicals and adjust as needed. They are very acurate and very punctual. They do a very good job.

The pool is in Wisconsin at our Summer home. There is not enough space to relay all the work orders and problems. Suffice it to say we have a stack. We even had the owner come personally to our pool to explain all the problems we had. It took many calls to have him return our call. Even after he came over, nothing changed. Still many problems.

We will have to wait until tomorrow to see if the equipment is working OK.

I would not recommend using this company. They have very poor customer service, in-house staff and follow up. Our experience was less than stellar. It took forever and multiple phone calls to even get someone to come out to look at our pool. The gentleman that actually came out to the pool was great - and that was about the only good part of our experience with this company. The office manager and staff just don't seem to have a clue.

The fact that the company did not honor its word, I would say not well at all. I had to pay for something that was supposed to be covered under warranty.

Terrible. Non-English speaking crew arrived and had no clue as to what they were to do. They removed the cover without cleaning it (as they have in previous years), rolled it up and bagged it wet, with dirt and mold on it. They explained they were draining and refilling the pool without cleaning it. I phoned service and they indeed had my instructions to acid wash the pool. So they called the crew and had them clean the pool, which was done haphazardly. They also didn't have instructions to fix the PVC piping in the waterfall, which I had phoned in 3 weeks prior. And though they had directions to leave the cover in the driveway, they dumped it by the side of the pool. Service from this company has declined steadily ever since they installed our pool. Every time they open the pool there is some item they have forgotten or just not completed, and they have to return. Very lackluster attitude from the work crew and poor customer relations. Unfortunately the warranty requires them to open/close the pool, but then they probably won't honor any warranty claims anyway.

Their estimate was much, much higher than another competitor who was a referral from several neighbors who had used the competitor. BP estimate was more of an ala carte menu, quoting the bare essentials and then adding a number of items to bring the total to a much higher number. This by the way was the same complaint that another Angie's member, who retained them for a pool, described in their review. At the visit to our home to discuss the proposal, they talked about their individualized service, yet we had a terrible time getting them to return calls when we had follow-up questions. An in-ground pool is a significant investment and we wanted to be sure we understood why they were proposing different items and why they were necessary, etc. Based on another very poor review, poor press in the BBB listing, high price and poor responsiveness to calls we were very leery of retaining them for this work.

Beware of this company, I have had a dozen problems from cracks in the concrete, to the pool deck etc. The original bid was for $80,000 dollars, but they kept changing it on me. I had no choice, but to pay them, because it was already June and every pool company was booked solid. I had just built my home and I have 3 little boys, that needed a yard to play in, so I just payed the extra money. Please do your home work and you will find out, ask your friend co-workers about them and you will see don't use this company .

It was terrible. They would send different people out every week. When I reported a leak in my pool, they told me leaks would be fixed next month and I was losing water daily. My pool clouded over and for no less than four weeks they could not figure out the problem and kept sending different guys out who would charge us between $100-$500 and not fix the problem. I finally had to hire a guy from the another company who came and fixed the problem in a day, for $40! We switched to a much, much better, more reliable company! When we called to cancel our service with them they told me we were the second people to call and cancel that day! It was such a bad experience.

THEIR ESTIMATE WAS $1000, WE HAD ANOTHER COMPANY DO THE REPAIR FOR $100. THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER ISSUES, THEY WERE RUDE, THEY REPEATEDLY OVER CHARGED FOR THEIR SERVICES, AND THEY WOULD ONLY WORK ON WHAT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM WHICH WOULD LEAD TO FUTURE SERVICE CALLS, BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T REALLY RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS ALSO POOR COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION.

THE BUILDING OF THE POOL AND SPA WENT WELL AND THE QUALITY OF BOTH IS GOOD. THE SERVICE, WHICH IS REQUIRED BY THE COMPANY IF YOU WANT THEM TO GUARANTEE THEIR WORK, IS LOUSY. THEY HAVE SO FAR CAUSED A LEAK IN THE SPA IN THE SECOND YEAR WE HAD IT, BY THEIR INEPT OPENING AND CLOSING TECHNIQUES, AND HAVE REFUSED TO FIX IT PROPERLY, ONCDE THE ORIGIN OF THE LEAK WAS FOUND. TO FIX IT, THEY SEALED THE BLOWER VENTS, SO WE CAN NO LONGER USE THEM, EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR THEM. THEY ARE UNRESPONSIVE TO PHONE CALLS AND LETTERS REGARDING OUR DISSATISFACTION AND HAVE NOT COME TO ATTEMPT TO FIX THE LEAK IN A PERMANENT FASHION OR REIMBURSE US THE EQUIPMENT WE CAN NO LONGER USE.
