Bank of America

BOA took over our mortgage from another company.  We had never escrowed our taxes nor insurance.  BOA was sent a courtesy copy of our insurance every year.  BOA, every year, couldn't grasp that concept and sent us a request to pay for their insurance at twice our insurance rate, and each year we had to explain IT WAS PAID.  The fifth year, after we had again straightened it out, we were called and said our escrow was in default as was our mortgage.  That was very much a surprise to us, since we had no escrow and had never made a late payment in our lives.  These morons decided again that we had to take their insurance and decided to escrow it for us and charge late fees, though it had already been straightened out.  Apparently they couldn't read the notes or the decs already sent.  Every year.  We refinanced for a lower rate, if nothing else, to get rid of these idiots.  I wouldn't take a free credit card from them.  Run far, far away.

It was a great experience and everything was as he said it would be. There were no additional charges and it was a smooth transaction.
