Owner Steve Briddick and two of his crew arrived on time at the appointed hour. We reviewed the job with Steve and he put his folks to work. The two Briddick employees then went about the tile installation, executing the planned design (a combination of travertine subway tiles, a row of glass mosaic tiles, and divider "pencils") in a precise, professional manner. They made precision cuts to allow space for the use of stone cover plates around electrical and phone outlets on the wall. They completed the tile and grout installation in two days and cleaned up their work areas before leaving. After the initial tile installation, we decided that the white color of the existing electrical and phone outlets was incompatible with the tile color. Steve was very accommodating in giving us the necessary time to get the outlets replaced before he came to personally complete the job by installing the delicate stone cover plates on the outlets. We could not be happier with the final result. The work was completed with expert craftsmanship, on time and on budget. We would have no hesitation in recommending Briddick Tile for people needing tile work done.

The installation went well. However, since I used natural stone (each tile is unique in texture, coloration), I regret not being there during the install. They did remedy my issue and replaced several tiles. After all is completed, I absolutely love my flooring and backsplash! And when I do my bathroom, I know who to call!

I originally contacted Stephen Briddick based on a recommendation from the Tile Shop in Lake Zurich. Briddick Tile and Stone was one of three companies I contacted for quotes for tiling the outside front step of our house. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Stephen was prompt for the appointment and Stephen's presentation was professional and enthusiastic. Usually my husband and I talk with several contractors before making a decision but decided to hire Stephen without meeting anyone else. It was a good decision. We were very pleased with the outcome of the work Stephen did on the front step and the design recommendation he made of adding stone along the bottom of the step. Subsequently we asked Stephen to tile the backsplash in our kitchen. Once again he did a very good job and we are just as pleased with the end result of this project as we were with the first one. I would recommend Briddick Tile and Stone for any tile/stone job. Additionally Stephen is polite, positive and likes what he is doing. It's always great to work with someone who enjoys his work.
