Please note that I was told by Pathways to review the "group/team" Pathways... not any individual.
Contacted many for a quote. They were initially the most polite over the phone. Pathways took the most time out twice to go over questions and contract detail. Collected deposit before Easter.
Note:: with any contractor please write on the contract that you wish to be contacted/updated once every 5 days due to understandable changes in weather, health or mechanical issues. The customer has a right to this. Things happen.
Also- find out if you as the customer will pay for the cement or asphalt directly to the supplier, or to the contractor. Do not hesitate to verify with the supplier what was delivered. Most if not all suppliers tape the incoming calls- not that one needs to- but if need be the call itself can be reviewed. Cement prices do change. Expect this.
Pathways was available via text which I really appreciated. They could have been more punctual... For example-- my husband was told they would be their before the cement truck -- 830 am. The cement guy (not anyones fault) shows up at 845am.. - they did not arrive until 920am.
Pathways took extra time to clear the extra dirt/grass that was left when we widened our driveway. We ended up getting rid of all the patches and are dealing with the grass seed... which we have done before. Other contractors may not have taken the time to do this.
A few of my concerns (now trivial) were left wthout explanation.
The team was very meticulous in laying the cement.. and finishing it up properly-- with the exception of one little spot. This will go unnoticed when the rest of the driveway eventually gets spots and marks.
Will happily note how the driveway looks in the upcoming year. I had a person experienced with cement (25 yrs) come out during this process, she said the workmanship was fine... after the mesh fibers were put in the cement. I do not foresee any problems with the driveway and have received MANY compliments since we are across from the park.
