Comprehensive Auto Repair

I give them A's all the way down the line. I've been working with them for 5 years, I've come to respect their abilities. I know all of the mechanics by the first name. They are very friendly and dedicated to their customers.

The only fly in the ointment in this case was that Tim got the wrong struts, so I had to bring the car back in several days to have the them installed. It turns out that for the 2000 Acura there are 2 different types of struts depending on when the car was manufactured. Understandable mistake, and the second time in was a automotive charm. Comprehensive does good work at a reasonable price.

Showed up at C.A.R. without an appt or a call ahead and asked Tim to have my car looked at because I was given an inflated estimate from another shop. I wasn't sure that I wasn't going to further damage my car from driving which is why I didn't go to C.A.R. first. Sat in waiting room and they were able to take a look at my car and then provided pricing. Pricing was fair and we went ahead with the work. Driving my car again knowing that it was repaired and in good condition. I appreciate C.A.R. getting me in and out relatively quickly without having an appointment. Thanks again for the time and effort.
As a side note, I had previously brought my car for repair at C.A.R. and left it with them (dropping keys in their overnight slot. I received a call at work from Tim saying that they drove the car and checked what I thought the car's issue was, but they weren't able to find anything wrong with the car. He suggested that he would/could do any work that I wanted them to do, but that he didn't think that the car needed any work. When I got back to pick up my car, he just handed me the keys and told me that I didn't even owe them for their time spent checking out my car.

No change in the oil leak, but what is really disturbing is they were told I was going on a long trip the next day, so now I am out 458 dollars with no benefit, but I am a thousand miles from home on a holiday with a car that I don't know if I can get fixed or if I ruined!

I am the owners father and am really upset about my daughter being treated this way, and when and if she makes it hear will find out what is wrong with the car and post here, thanks!

I take all my cars there and they try to help us out. They have done a lot of work on all of my different cars.

I highly recommend this auto repair store to anyone that
needs work completed. It is nice to find a honest, reliable and reasonably
priced mechanic in Naperville. I have an acura TL that had a few issues. Head
light out, Muffler extremely loud and the wipers were not working correctly.
Acura wanted 1200 to fix the light and 1100 to fix the mufflers. Tim was able to fix the light for 200 and the
same for the mufflers. The mufflers did not need to be replaced, they were in
good condition yet. There were some gaskets that were shot and some of the
pipes had rusted out and the bolts holding them on were broken. Tim said that
the Wipers were expensive to fix because the linkage was broken and the part
was over 300 from acura to fix. To my surprise even though I was not getting
that fixed he worked on it and fixed it without the new part. And he did not
charge me anything to fix it!!!! I cant say enough good things about this shop.
