Installation crew were not neat and caused damages to doorways when moving furniture as well as baseboard scratches when tucking carpet next to walls. Seams are horrible - visually apparent and appear as ridges. Left nylon threads from carpet along walls as well as not tucking the carpet loops at the walls. Also, additional carpet seams were made that weren't needed (as a result of alleged carpet cuts prior to installation). After a few months, the carpet seams look like "Mohawk haircut" strips because the installation crew used scissors to trim the uneven seams - therefore, the loops were cut and it looks horrible.

Purchase made May 2, 2015
Initial installation Sept 8 2015
Repairs to moulding Nov 17 2015 - this is 28 weeks after our purchase
We stopped at the Best Buy location while shopping for a bathroom vanity.  The service was mediocre.  Clearly they work on commission because once you talk to one of them the other sales people ignore you.   The quality of the cabinets is good and well made.  The things that force me to not recommend them include:
a) During the sales process we were reviewing the options, colors, wood, sinks, counters, etc.  We went through several iterations of the order and pricing as we looked at the cabinets, countertops, sinks, colors, and styles.  The price was quoted several times during the negotiation as the options changed.  We ended with the entire supply and installation to be done by Best Buy.  They told us the cabinets would take about 5 weeks to make.
b) As noted - once you talk to one salesman - the others ignore you.  We went in a couple of times after our initial purchase.  At least 2 of those times we had questions or wanted some additional help clarifying the purchase.  Both times we were told our salesman was not in and no one there could help us.  Very irritating.
c) We went to the granite warehouse they are affiliated to in Aurora.  After looking at their selection we decided to not purchase the counter top from them and informed them of that decision.  We were told that was not a problem and the balance would be adjusted.  As a side note - Midwest Stone is the BEST place to purchase granite and other countertops.
d) We waited for the cabinets to arrive as I finished the flooring and walls.
e) While waiting for the initial installation of the cabinets I asked the salesman how or where do I get the sinks we ordered.  That is when he tells me the sinks are part of the coutertop order and when we decided to not buy the countertop from them they cancelled the sinks also.  He explained that the sinks are always part of the countertop..  I told him that he never said that and did not tell me it is not possible to buy the sinks from them without a countertop.  After several phone calls and going into the store they agreed to supply the sinks but only AFTER several arguments.
f) After approximately 8 weeks we called Best Buy to find out when the cabinets would come in.  We were told they were already in the warehouse and they were waiting for us to schedule the installation.  How do you schedule the installation when NO ONE tells you the material is here???  So the made some lame excuse and tried to blame us for the delay.
g) The installation crew arrived on time and for the most part were friendly, they acted  professional but their QUALITY was seriously lacking.  I work in the construction industry and I consider quality as a sign of pride.  I do not have any respect for the installation work by Best Buy crews.
   1) They cut the back of the tower incorrectly for the power outlet.  They let us know they made the mistake but said they could fix it.  After they installed the tower the installation looked fine.  My wife asked them how they fixed it and they would only say it was magic.  Well, I had to adjust the tower height after the counter top was installed.  When I removed the tower from the wall I discovered that the way they fixed their mistake was they tore the drywall up and moved the junction box to match their cut in the back of the tower.  It looks like they used a hammer to make the hole in the drywall and then just pulled the box over.  So they left the drywall all torn up, without any insulation in the area and then covered it all up with the tower.  This is an exterior wall that they were leaving this way.  The clear philosophy is if  you can cover it up the "DUMB" homeowner won't know the difference.
  2) The crown molding on the tower had a piece that was clearly damaged.  It was all installed and they mentioned the damage only AFTER we pointed out the damage that was visible during our inspection of their finished product.  After we mentioned the damage they explained it was damaged in shipment and they could order a new piece.  WHY wasn't that done in the first place - WHY did they only offer that AFTER our inspection?  Because they figured they can save some money by not pointing out their failure and just wait and see if the homowner discovers the damage.
   3)  The crown molding on another cabinet had a large 1/4 inch gap between the cabinet and the moulding.  When I pointed it out - they tried to fix it by driving a bunch of screws into the moulding.  Instead of trimming the moulding to the correct length.  They also squirted a bunch of caulk in the area to try and block the light from coming through.  In the end it did not look too bad so I accepted it.  Only later on in the week did I notice that when they put all those additional screws in they pulled the moulding out of level.
   4) When they came back to fix the moulding on the tower they also tried to fix the moulding on the other cabinet.  They fixed both in general and they completed the work.  Today I noticed that they pulled a support out of the wall while fixing the moulding.  They damaged the drywall and just put some glue on the support so it would LOOK like it was ok.  This support holds up a glass partition - they left the house with a 7 foot piece of glass unsupported!!!!  I fixed that today as soon as I discovered this latest cover-up.
   5) I gave them the pulls and which drawers had single pulls and which ones had the handles (2 holes).  They drilled the hole for the door on the tower cabinet for a single pull when I told them it was supposed to be a handle.  The handle is now lower than it should be, but I m living with that.
h)  When the initial damage on the crown moulding was discovered and it was determined that they had to order a replacement piece we decided that we would not pay the outstanding balance until they finished the installation and repair.  Before they made the repair, they kept our credit card info on file and charged us for the balance of the work before it was complete and WITHOUT our authorization.  We refuted the charge and cancelled the credit card due to this unauthorized billing.
I would never use Best Buy again and I would NOT recommend anyone do so unless they want to see how badly they perform.

They had the best price on granite countertops that we were able to find anywhere. We were able to choose from the slab we liked. They removed old formica counters and custom installed with cutouts for sink and slide-in range, seamed a diagonal corner and installed granite backsplashes. Excellent workmanship. When I later discovered that this type of granite was leaving "flea bites" on knit clothes from the front edges, they came back no charge and did some additional smoothing and sealing of the edges. Great customer service, pricing and quality work.

This was a great experience from beginning to end. The sales person was extremely helpful and went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. The workmanship is beautiful. The installation crew was very punctual and professional. The work was done as specified and with minimal disruption to us. This kind of sadly rare these days. We highly recommend Best Buy Carpets and will use them in the future.

I decided to go with Best Buy Carpets and Granite that day after going through the showroom. I narrowed it down to 2 options for colors and agreed to get back to Ralph. When I called back and he had already reserved a spot to have the templates taken of the counters and also scheduled an installation date. Marcus and another employee came on the date and time they were scheduled to come (what a concept.) Both professional, knowledgeble and friendly. When they saw concerns with a request (ie. put big green egg inside the granite) Marcus said we can do it but do you realize that its going to X amount of inches above your grill and it be so hight that it would be difficult to get food off. He was correct and he made adjustments based on my feedback. When they left the worksight it was clean. A few days before installation, Ralph confirmed and also advised me the backsplash would be measured, cut and later installed after everything else was completed. It was going to be a 2 step install to ensure the backsplash was measured correctly. I had hoped it could all be done in 1 day yet would rather wait and have it done correctly. The installers showed up at the time they scheduled and 4 employees worked on the installation for approxiamately 4 hours. Instead of delaying the completion, 2 employees went back to the factory and cut the backsplashes. They returned and installed the newly cut backsplashes all in the same day before a holiday weekend Labor day. Ralph or Marcus oversaw the majority of the installation. The quality of the job was excellent. The curved bar counter top had to be cut to accomodate cedar beams that support an overhead pergola and instead of piecing it together, they took one slab of granite and cut out the corners and matched the seams. Obviously alot more granite waste but the end result was perfect. The seam is much less noticeable because the grain of the granite still follows through. This project started as a dream but turned into a nighmare when we hired a convicted felon etc. etc. etc. etc. to be our General Contractor that is still on Angies list... You wont find any of that with this company. In addition, they do not hire sub concractors. So you and they actually know who is being sent to your home and also the quality of work they perform. Which is just another reason why you should consider this company if need Granite, carpet, hardwood floors etc. etc. You truly wont be dissapointed.

I was very happy with the in-home consultation and samples. The consultant was on time and worked in a timely manner. Even though they are a little pricier than the big box stores, we decided to go with them based on the recommendation from neighbors that Best Buy does a great job. Unfortunately, it took a while for the salesmen to get back to me with my estimate. After finally placing my order, no one called to schedule an installation appointment, even though I was told that I would receive a call from the scheduling department in about a week. A week came and went and I called and was told my order had come in and that I would receive a call within a few days. I never received a call. I called several times and left messages. I made a final call and was able to get an installation date set for a week from the date I called. Finally, my carpet was installed. The men who installed it came 2 hours after the time I was given. However, they did a very nice job installing the carpet, cleaned up and had me inspect their work. I would not use this company again because the high cost did not give me the service I had hoped for.

Went very well, with one minor exception...had ordered 4 1/3 inch backsplash and only 4 inch was installed...not a major issue but does require additional finishing work. In fairness to Best Buy they did offer to redo which made no sense but they adjusted final price to reflect the lower material (granite) cost.

I purchased 1000 sq ft of some cheap, thin, pad-attached carpeting from a big box store that I was told should not be a problem to install myself in my basement. After having great difficulty getting the seams to look good, I decided to call Best Buy carpets to perform the installation. I was in a bind because we were having a very large family party at the house on Saturday and I needed the carpet installed asap. I called on Thursday morning around 9:30am, explained my situation, and they were able to squeeze me in that afternoon! They were on time, courteous, and professional. The carpet looks great and they were able to get the seams to disappear. I did think the price was a little on the high side. But, for the quality of the work and how accommodating they were, it was worth every penny.

Replaced carpeting in home office. Workers professional and punctual. Completed work as described. Had used prior to this job to replace family room carpeting and was similarly pleased. Did get estimated last year from this company to replace LR and DR carpeting with hardwood and found their price was not competitive to other Angie's List company bids , so did not use them for that job

We have done business with Herbie and Best Buy Carpets for years. He and his crew have done work for us on 4 occasions over the years.

We have recommended him to several people who have loved him as much as we do. His crews are professional, respectful and do outstanding work.
From start-to-finish, a job well done consistently!

Best Buy Carpets came and measured the vanity. Four days later they delivered it and installed it. They dropped my sink in and sealed it and it was wonderful. They were very polite. They answered any questions I had on both calls, the measuring and the delivery. They took the time to tell you everything they were going to do, even in the showroom. I chose this company because my son had bought granite countertops from them for his kitchen and two of his bathrooms. I was there for one of the installations so I saw them at work.

an extended family member (who is also our realtor) recommended them. we called and they came out to measure and show us samples. we chose one and got a price, plus some education on new carpet ideas and products since the last time we bought carpet was in 1999.
the price was high, but that was partly because we had to order extra since our room was just a few inches wider than a roll of carpet is wide. however, i did some googling and the price per yard was in the right range.
the installation went smoothly and quickly. it has been three months and the carpet still looks brand new. we love it.

We could not have been more impressed! We were having a party on Saturday and decided to install carpets in our basement on Tuesday night. I contacted Best Buy Carpets and received a call back first thing Wednesday morning. Even with a round of phone tag they had someone out to our home on Thursday to do the estimate. I was able to pick from what they had in stock and my carpet was installed Saturday morning! It's beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Plus, everyone I worked with from the store managers, the man who performed the estimate and our installers were so considerate, responsive and efficient! We will definitely be using Best Buy Carpets again!

Beginning with our first visit to the store Chris was very helpful. When we questioned him about the color and grain of the actual granite versus the in-store sample, Chris made arrangements for us to go to the warehouse (ten minutes away) and see the actual slab that would be used. Markus came out to take measurements and answer any questions, and address any issues I had. Once Chris had the actual measurements, we were able to complete the order online. Saving me a trip to the store. The installation took place right in line with the time frame I was given. The installers did an excellant job. They were very curtious and cleaned up everything when they were finished.

I had visited many carpet stores and was so glad I found this one. They were very helpful in explaining the different types of carpet and helping me to decide which would be best for my situation. The installers were polite and fast and did a great job.
