+ -1 moreThe company arrived with the wrong material. After the rep. called them for the correct material we ended up calling them because of the amount of time being wasted. While insulating the crawl space the rep ran out of the insulation with backing and had to call for additional materials. The company sent one rep. to do the job and it really needed two individuals. The hopper kept jamming up and the rep. would have to come down out of the attic, unjam the machine, and go back up in the attic. The rep. wasn't happy with the company and was very open about sharing his negative comments about the company he worked for. If my husband hadn't stayed home for this I would have been frantic because he knew how to take control of the situation and deal with contractors like this because of his profession. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who doesn't know anything about insulation or installation of insulation. I expected more from this company for the price we paid.
Description of Work: Insulation was blown into the attic and a crawl space had insulation added to the walls and ceiling.

Description of Work: I TELEPHONED AMERICAN NATIONAL INSULATION AND LEFT A MESSAGE DESCRIBING THE WORK TO BE DONE AND REQUESTING AN ESTIMATE. AFTER FIVE FULL DAYS I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY.

+ -1 moreSALES PERSON WAS GOOD AND IDENTIFIED SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURAL ISSUES THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE BLOWING INSULATION. PRICES HIGHER THAN COMPETITION, EVEN WITH ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT.

+ -1 moreJOE WAS MY PHONE CONTACT, AND HE WAS RESPONSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE GAVE ME A PHONE QUOTE AND FOLLOWED UP WITH A THOROUGH WORK AGREEMENT. THE WORK WAS DONE AS PROMISED, WHEN PROMISED, BY A HIGHLY SKILLED AND COURTEOUS PROFESSIONAL.

+ -1 moreWE ALSO NEEDED EXTRA ROOF VENTS ADDED BEFORE HAVING THE REINSULATION DONE. THE INSULATION COMPANY WAS GREAT ABOUT SCHEDULING AROUND THE OTHER CONTRACTOR'S AVAILABILITY.
Description of Work: OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1978 AND THE ATTICS NEEDED TO RE-INSULATED (BLOWN-IN PRODUCT). THE SALESMAN CAME OUT TO VIEW THE WORK AREAS AND GAVE ME SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF INSULATION (R FACTORS) AND MADE VALUABLE SUGGESTIONS. THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE ARRIVED AS PROMISED AND WAS VERY CLEAR. SALES AND RECEPTION PEOPLE WERE GREAT AND ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS. THE INSTALLERS ARRIVED ON TIME, WERE COURTEOUS AND DID NOT MAKE A MESS!

+ -1 moreFAIR PRICE, EXCELLENT INITIAL INFORMATION AND QUOTE. THE YOUNG MAN WHO DID THE JOB WAS PLEASANT AND EFFICIENT, ARRIVED EARLY AND WORKED WITHOUT MUCH OF A BREAK. EVERY INCH WAS COVERED AND STAPLED DOWN; IT FELT LIKE BEING INSIDE A PILLOW IT WAS SO QUIET AFTER HE FINISHED. EXCELLENT CLEAN-UP ALSO. THIS WAS A TRULY GREAT JOB, AND HAVING RE-HABBED THE WHOLE 2-FLAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH MANY VENDORS.
