Bob was quick to respond when scheduling the appointment and flexible to fit my availability. He arrived on time and quickly assessed what needed to be repaired. He was so pleasant to deal with and quick/efficient fixing the igniter. Highly recommend!!!

Bob was AWESOME. Not only did he repair my dryer but he took the time to show me how to keep it running well and the maintenance that is required for it. He also helped me clean out the filter in my washer (I didn't know it even had one) and showed me how to do minor maintenance to keep it running without having to call him. I truly appreciate him educating me on how to maintain the dryer and washer to avoid costly repairs in the future. He will definitely be my go to guy in the future. I am passing his information to my family and friends. His pricing was extremely reasonable for the work he did. Great guy, great work, great price!

Ok. Couldn't exactly figure out the problem so he ordered a part that I put a deposit of $150 down, came back a few days later and that part ended up causing another issue. He was at my home for more than 6 hours trying to fix the issue. Said he needed to order another part, put the fridge back together and within a couple days , strangely the fridge started working on it's on again. The service guy was very pleasant and delivered great customer service but the repair time was too long.

Called and was surprised to hear that he could stop by later the same afternoon. Bob arrived on-time and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He had the part on-hand and got the unit up and running. He even made a few suggestions on things that could be done to improve performance and prolong the appliance's lifespan. Was very professional and courteous.

Bob came out within two days of my initial call. Immediately saw the likely problem: the aluminum foil I'd placed on the bottom (to catch drips) was covering the vents from the bottom broiler/flame source probably overheated "the board." He tested the igniter and gas line, which were working. Then tested the electric lines to "the board", which were dead. He gave me an estimate of the cost to fix versus his perception of the overall condition of the oven. I called back a few days later to have him fix it. He ordered the part and came out two days later. Bob fixed it within an hour, and it now works great. He even leveled it for me when I realized it was wobbling. $50 to diagnose, $175 to repair (applied the $50 diagnosis fee to the final cost)

Great advice, friendly, cleaned up.

Our relatively new dryer started making a loud rattling noise, so I called a few companies that came up in an Angie's List search.  I even purchased a Big Deal that I eventually had to get refunded because the provider didn't service our dryer brand (Samsung). Bob Massey from Affordable Appliance Repair was one of two contractors who actually called me back on a Friday afternoon, and he offered to come by the following Monday.  Due to a busy work schedule, he arrived a bit later than planned.  But he got right to work, and watching him in action was a something of a marvel. He methodically disassembled the entire dryer piece-by-piece to pinpoint the problem.  I was a bit nervous that would forget where a screw should go when he had to put it all back together, but to my amazement, he remembered where everything went.  Thankfully, he was finally able to identify the issue: there was a huge buildup of lint and dust that threw the dryer off balance. (I found out later on this was caused by a clogged dryer vent that was causing the lint to backup into the appliance itself. Moral of the story: GET YOUR DRYER VENTS CHECKED AND CLEANED REGULARLY!)  So he cleaned it with my vacuum cleaner and put it all back together, part by part, screw by screw.  When he was done, we turned the dryer on, and it sounded as good as new.  The entire process took about an hour, and he charged his standard rate for a cleaning ($120).  I appreciated his prompt reply to my first phone call, and his early availability to come by and take a look at the dryer.  And the bottom line is he fixed the problem, and he did it at a reasonable price.

He was very efficient.  I called him with the problem on 6.1.15..  He then had me send the serial number of the whirlpool washing machine and he then ordered the part and quoted me a price for the repair/part.   He came and installed on 6.2.15.  Very happy with him! 

I described the situation over the phone when I first called, saying I suspected it was the valve.  He agreed, said he would order the part and arrive the next day between 12-2 to replace it.  He arrive on time, removed old valve, called for support regarding the new valve (it had an added component of uncertain use).  After consultation he removed the added component and installed the valve.  When we tested it the water flowed as expected.  All done in 45 minutes - very polite, professional and knowledgeable.

Came out and was friendly and very knowledgable. He was very honest. He explained everything that he found and I felt very comfortable using him.

It went extremely well. Bob came out on a president's day because it fit my schedule due to me being off work that day. He was accommodating, professional, and very honest. He told me if he determines the repair does not make financial sense he would let me know and would not charge us any fee for coming out. Did I mention how honest this guy is! I have been using Angie's list for a couple of years and I was impressed with this company and Bob! When he arrived he quickly diagnosed the issue and changed out the actuator. Whole process took a little over an hour. It was very apparent that Bob knows his stuff and is very good at what he does. I highly recommend this company for any appliance repair and will continue to utilize their services.
