When my father-in-law’s AC went out on one of the hottest days of the year, we were worried it would take days to get help. Thankfully, AccuMax Heating and Cooling came through for us in a big way. They were able to send someone out the very next day, which was a huge relief. The technician, Jake, was fantastic—very knowledgeable, respectful, and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the AC back up and running in no time, all at a very reasonable price. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. To top it off, we received a follow-up call from Erica the next morning just to make sure everything was working properly. That level of care and customer service really stood out. We couldn’t be more grateful for the fast, friendly, and professional service. Highly recommend AccuMax to anyone in need of heating or cooling help!

They installed a brand new furnace and AC Unit in my home less than 2 years ago (July of 2023) and now the AC compressor is already broken. Obviously a part failure isn’t their fault however when I called to have the unit serviced they apparently no longer service my “area” (the company has not moved locations either). At least I’d assume so since they didn’t even call me back after saying they’d have to check with the owner if they could drive the 40 minutes to my house. It’s crazy that they can install a system worth thousands of dollars with a warranty and then choose to stop servicing it when the product they install fails because they’ve already got their money. Choose wisely.

Can not express enough how great they are to work with. Erica in office was on top of it and Dan explained everything that needed to be done. They came out right away which we so appreciated as we had no heat. Highly Highly Highly recommend them.

If anyone needs anything to do with cooling, heating or water heaters and then some, AccuMax is the best in town! They just set me up with a excellent state of the art heating and cooling system along with a kick a** water heater! They were way cheaper than others and the work was clean and completed in one day! My house has never felt better and my upstairs temperature now matches my down stairs for the first time ever and my water heater is providing all the hot water i could wish for in a family of four! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! We had AccuMax come out and replace the heating and air conditioning in our home. We received a quote prior to work being completed for $7,000. Once the work was done they acted like they didnt even know what the first quote was and that it was made in error and should have been well over $12,000. We did not agree to pay almost double what we were originally quoted and they were not willing to work with us. The owner Dan was horribly rude and threatened to ruin our credit, report the property as stolen, RUIN MY HUSBAND'S REPUTATION AS A POLICE OFFICER BY REPORTING HIM TO THE NEWS, and come steal the air conditioner out of our yard. Sure enough, one night they snuck onto our property and CUT THE AIR CONDENSER OUT OF YARD AND FRIED OUR AIR HANDLER! We had to have it replaced and were told that it could have easily started a fire in our house and we have two babies! DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! If a conflict were to arise they could do criminal and hazardous acts on your property please be careful! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO DO BUSINESS WITH INNOCENT CONSUMERS!

Dan came out today to check on our furnace, the one he installed roughly 10 years ago. Still running great. This past summer, Jair installed a new air conditioner, which does a noticeably better job at cooling the whole house (even upstairs) and saves some on our electric bill, too. We have relied on AccuMax for our heating and cooling needs for many years. They always do an excellent job and are fair and reasonably priced. They sell high-quality, dependable equipment and are very competent in installing and maintaining it. If a problem should arise (usually due to age), they are good at diagnosing and do not try to sell us more than we want or need. Estimates and any paperwork is provided in a detailed and professional manner. We have found them to be very responsive, never missing an appointment. All in all, I would highly recommend AccuMax for honest, dependable service.

From the beginning of the process, Dan was fantastic to work with. He had the heart and mentality of a teacher (educating me on what I do need, what nice updates would be, and what is not needed). He also was patient while I evaluated my options from all companies. Ultimately, I decided to go with AccuMax and do not regret my decision. They installed a 95% high efficiency variable speed furnace and a 16 SEER air conditioner. I estimate it taking about 6-7 years for the total system to break even (significantly more efficient than my 20 year old system) and then it makes me money. During the installation, Dan and his crew were respectful and careful around the house. They put down drop cloths where they were walking and cleaned up when they were done. Once they finished, Dan gave me a tutorial on all they had done and answered any/all of my questions. I could not be more pleased with the work that AccuMax did and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Give Dan a call and you will not be disappointed.

Honest, on time. Used many times.

On 5/27/16, the owner Dan happened to be servicing my next door neighbor. At the time, it was a huge blessing because my Central Air wasn't blowing. I went out and asked for his assistance upon his completion of neighbor's service. He said he could take a quick look. After a few minutes, he was able to fix it and I was in business. After two days, however, it went out again. I sent him a note about leakage coming from the humidifier and told him that the AC wasn't working. He said he could come out the following week because he would be installing a brand new AC unit for my neighbor and when he was done, he would stop by my house to check my unit.  He did so and indicated there was some blockage in the humidifier hose, so he cleaned that and added freon. Again when he left, it was in working order for two days.. After $180 the AC was still coming on inconsistently, so I asked Dan to come out again. This time he told me he couldn't because it was something strange with my compressor and suggested I find someone locally.

I'm a single African-American woman and feel that if I was not of my race, Dan would have made every effort to get to the root of my problem. I've never posted reviews before, but this was unacceptable service and I wanted Angie's LIst to be made aware of my experience with Accumax.

Top notch install, everything tidy and quality shows. Owner was on site with his crew for install, no sub contractors. Dan went through options with me, and we decided to go for the high efficiency variable speed blower furnace. I am very glad we did. The system is so much quieter than before. I leave the fan running 24/7 now and cannot hear it. This has improved the room to room temperature issues we have. The new A/C cools the house and dehumidifies with ease. Very happy with my new system!

They were very thorough. They were quick. They did a very good job explaining everything. They cleaned up the area really well both outside and inside. It was all good. I would definitely call them.

I had another service provider in the area, who will remain nameless in this review per Angie's List rules, come perform a cleaning and inspection on my gas furnace.  This anonymous technician indicated that I had a severely cracked heat exchanger and failing ignitor.  He would not restart my furnace citing a safety issue and tried to get us to rent space heaters from him and to purchase a replacement unit immediately (without time for my wife and I to do due diligence). 
I got a reference to AccuMax from a coworker for a second opinion.  Dan was able to come by within a couple hours of my calling his office (I have never had that happen before).  He thoroughly examined my ingnitor and heat exchanger, and determined they are both operating as intended and safe to continue to use.  He saved me from several thousand dollars of expense to a likely fraudulent claim of safety hazards in my furnace.
I will absolutely use them again.
For all of this (including the emergency call out), he only charged my the basic service call fee.

Everything has been wonderful. When providers are good we keep using them. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They are family-owned and very responsive. They also installed my furnace and air conditioner two years ago. I would highly recommend them.

This is a family owned business. It was difficult to communicate my availability. The women that booked the appt. ask and quot;will there be a neighbor around in the morning, to let our service guy into your condo?and quot; I simply said no can we please arrange this on a Saturday or I can leave work a couple hours earlier. She again said and quot;are you sure there isn't someone during the day that can let my Tech in.and quot; I wasn't sure why she insisted on working out the situation in such a manner knowing that there were other optional times for someone to come out.

We are happy with the product, the time frame and the cost of the product.

They have been fantastic. They are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They are courteous and provide excellent service. When you call they typically come right away.

I was in desperate need of a new heating/ac unit. Dan and he partner Bill showed up on time and ready to work, they removed the old units and installed good quality units for me. They were professional and their work was very high quality.

Everything from the initial visit through today has been above and beyond expectations. I am a complete novice with air conditioners and furnaces, yet trusting in the knowledge that Dan and Accumax team has made my life so much less complicated. He is a great technician, great salesman, great boss (his employees seemed to enjoy working with, and around, him), and most importantly trustworthy!

This was the third time we have had AccuMax, Inc. out to our home, and Dan was wonderful yet again! He is prompt (even came out after hours the first time because it was the middle of January and our furnace had stopped working - amazing!), courteous, clean and most of all professional and knowledgeable! This company is fantastic, and I would highly recommend to anyone needing any HVAC work, from new furnace to simple maintenance. Dan will be the only one touching our furnace or air conditioner from now on.
Initially, we called AccuMax on the referral of a family member to come out to fix our furnace that had conked out in the middle of January during a week of sub-zero temperatures. Dan came out after hours, spent a couple hours diagnosing and fixing the problem, and got us up and running in no time.
Then, we had him back out a few months later to prime our air conditioner for the summer months. Again, he was fantastic!
Then, this most recent time, we had him out to service our furnace and replace a pump that had stopped working and was overflowing water all over our basement floor. He took about 10 minutes to diagnose the problem, replaced a few things on the pump and we were up and running again. He also took the time to show me some simple things for me to look at to try to diagnose the problem before calling him to come out. (Literally, the end of the pump was blocked. He pulled the tube out, unblocked it, and put it back where it went. Problem solved!) He also fixed some things on the furnace that weren't working properly, took out an old and corroded humidifier, and got us back up and running yet again!
This company is responsive, reasonably priced and extremely professional and knowledgeable. I will never use another HVAC contractor as long as I have a furnace and air conditioner. Hire this company with confidence!
