"We were hired to remove toxic material and remediate the mold in the basement for $5,200. A crew of 5 people and a box truck applied product to remediate mold, removed the affected tile from the ground, removed all of a drop ceiling in the basement, and all of the affected panels that we could before asked to leave because a permit was required by the City of North Chicago. We then went to a waste facility to dispose of all of the toxic waste and paid all employees for a day of work. We then paid for a $5,000 surety bond required for the City of North Chicago. Days later turned in all of the paperwork needed to obtain a permit. Everything had to be turned in in person because the city doesn't allow emails. At that point, the City made us aware of certain legal matters that the homeowner or whoever owns the home was going to have to take care of before we could do the work. The permit issue has nothing to do with us. We are still on track to finish what we started at no extra cost. All we have left to do is remove some more panels and a dry fog treatment. I have communicated with Karen that our legal team will let us know if we are looking at any legal problems before moving forward. I am putting together a revised bill for the work done and time put into this."
