Dave Rooney and his team were extremely professional, courteous and neat. This project required them to tear up a section of pavers as the power line had to be buried underneath. After the power line was buried, the pavers were perfectly replaced as if they had never been removed, the ditch was filled and to our surprise the entire work area was re-seeded. Today we have our lawn back and it looks great. You would never know a ditch was dug.
As an additional endorsement for Dave Rooney and his team, the pavers they removed then replaced were originally installed by his company 15 years earlier for our home's previous owner.
Dave Rooney was prompt at coming out to our house to give us an estimate and was courteous and professional. The village engineers came up with a plan that involved a pipe running within inches of a magnolia tree trunk which would cut off half of the roots. Since we desired to try to keep the tree we asked Dave if the system would work if we ended it before the tree instead of after it. He assured us that it would work. If he hadn't assured us we would have risked losing the tree. The job was completed in a timely fashion and they were quick to come out to fix a few misc. items. At the end of May and beginning of June we got some heavy rainfall and the water didn't exit the point it was designed to exit. Rather it exited one of those drains installed right next to the garage (exactly what we were trying to remedy). I emailed him pictures and asked if he would come out to shoot the grades. He emailed back that he probably needed to add more stones around the drain next to the garage. Questioning his response I emailed the village and asked if they could shoot the grades for me. They did and the drywell exit point and the top of the drain right next to the garage fell at exactly the same grade level. (The 12" x 12" drain next to the garage has a funnel shape so that would make the top of that pipe the lowest point in the system). At this point I'm asking myself why he didn't check the grades before completing the project. It doesn't take an engineer to know that water is always level and will exit the lowest point. Anyways, after letting him know that the village had shot the grades he agreed to come out. His response was that it was working like he said it would. He said he could extend the system but it would cost us an additional $500 (and I was made to feel that he was giving us a deal). I'm disappointed that he won't stand behind his work and that he denies there is even a problem.
