drywall
+ -1 moreMoved any living room goods and most furniture into bed rooms and garage. Drywall was installed well. Taping and sanding followed. Any wallpaper was removed. Ceiling and walls were painted. All goods and furniture were moved back. Same process was followed for bedrooms. Also any lighting fixtures needed to be removed to accomodate ceiling drywall; these were later reinstalled. Whole process took about 7 weeks. There was a fair amount of dust from drywall sanding, but my wife and I survived. It was somewhat difficult going through the process, but it turned out well. Glad no one else was living with us at time of the work. Also glad I was unemployed at the time.
Description of Work: Wanted popcorn ceiling replaced in living and bed rooms (8 rooms total). Contractor suggested gluing and screwing in new drywall over existing ceiling. Contractor also determined any wallpaper in several rooms would better be removed to facilitate taping of ceiling drywall. So entire job included ceiling drywall install, wallpaper removal, and painting of all surfaaees in all 8 rooms.
