McIntosh serves all the needs of the building including assisting owners when there are maintenance issues. They come out to fix problems as well as offer advice when things go wrong by phone or email. They are available on quick notice and reliable to assist when needed.

Our Condo Association had a building manager who was not particularly skilled in business or in buildings before we hired McIntosh. We interviewed several management companies who offered pieces of what we wanted but did none of them provided comprehensive help for a newish Board looking to change the status quo. McIntosh offered to do or more or less as our Board got more active and we got a Jack of All Trades when we hired them as Property Managers. When McIntosh started our water heater had died and we were left with freezing water in the middle of winter. David (McIntosh) moved heaven and earth and found us a deal on a water heater which was installed within 24hrs. He has helped our Board and our Association become financially responsible and proactive on assessment collection. Our owners had gotten far behind in payments and enforcement was lax and inconsistent. We have worked with McIntosh to track the deadbeats and help educate our owners about the importance of property maintenance and maintaining property value. McIntosh also worked with attorneys to make sure that we are legally compliant with rule and collection enforcement. Some of the other services that have been provided include an online owner forum which has helped to keep people informed and has provided a way for people to receive a quick response to their concerns. People can now check what they owe, ask questions, and make service inquiries all online. In addition, our sidewalks are routinely the cleanest in the neighborhood, within hours of the snowfall. McIntosh has worked with us to adjust our trash collection and dumpster count, apply for city rebates, and change service providers to get competitive rates. Our Board periodically takes on more responsibility for different areas and McIntosh has worked with us to guide us through the processes and adjusting the role they play in managing our property. We are a small Condo Association (about 36 units) and have found it very helpful to have a company to work with that suits us, and can offer us different levels of service depending on our needs at different points in time.

So many people I know were sold on the 3rd place they looked at - seems like the realtors did not want to spend a lot of time looking and they got a big push to buy on #3. I ended up with a place that was affordable and met the most important criteria that I was looking to find . I was really nervous to make this big purchase, and David helped me through the process and helped me find the right place. I liked that David did not pressure me to make a purchase quickly, to the contrary, he helped me to define the things I wanted, and encouraged me to take time to find what I wanted.
