Kohl'S

I called and ordered the items that were on the sale. They charged me full price for each item. The ad said boots were $39.00 when I called he said it would be $19.99 and they charged me $49.00 this happened with about a 1/3 of the items. It happened with purse, jewelry, towels.

I have had many smaller bad experiences at this Kohl's. So many, in fact, that I decided never to shop there again a few years ago, despite the fact that it is so close to my house I could walk there. But eventually the bad memories faded and I did go back last year. A couple visits were fine, but then I had the worst experience ever on 6/19/12. I went in that Wednesday and tried on a few items in the dressing room. There were very few people there, so lots of empty rooms. I needed some other sizes so I left the dressing room with a note: "Room being used- be right back! :)" There is no way anyone could have missed that note. When I returned just a couple minutes later, all the clothes in my room, both mine and Kohl's, were gone. I asked the dressing room attendant what had happened and she said she had cleared the room. And then she lied and said she hadn't seen my note. Later she admitted she had, when I pressed her on it. We looked through her pile of clothes and found my capris (they had a button missing and a safety pin in place- not very appealing), but never found my nice shirt. I spoke to the manager and she said she would look for my shirt. At least she did call back (I had gone home by then- had to wear one of Kohl's shirts to my car- I have since returned it to the CEO of Kohl's in WI). But she never found my shirt. There were no shirts like it at Kohl's- it couldn't have gotten "misfiled." Plus, I was only gone from the dressing room for just a few minutes, maybe 5-6. My letter to the CEO (who is also the Chairman of the board of Kohl's, by the way) was responded to with a form letter, not even apologizing or offering to make things good. I cut up my credit card and I will never buy from any Kohl's ever again. 11/17/13 Addendum: Another bad experience at this Kohl's. The ONLY reason I went back is because my elderly mother now lives in the area and she wanted to go there; she can't drive, so I took her. Between the confusing information on the coupon my mother received and the rude response by the associate to my questions, I have told my mother I will never take her back there again. If she really wants to go to a Kohl's, I will take her to a different Kohl's (at a much further distance) but I will never for love or money return to this store. I should have called the police when the Kohl's associate stole my shirt. Maybe (??) that would have made them sit up and take notice that this is a terrible store.
