Hired them to do an addition mudroom. We thought things went ok but towards the end we felt like the renovation lasted longer than it should've. Part of that was on us for changing a few things lady minute but if we had more guidance, it would be worked out better. Overall, positive experience would recommend to others. They just need to tighten up their communication. There were days when no one would show up and we didn't know in advance.

When you add on to your home while your living there it is always a difficult period but JRC was responsive, did high quility work and took care of all the little changes that we requested along the way. All the little problems on call back were handled professionally and to our satisfation. We were so happy with the first job that we contracted two years later for our 3 season sun room off the back of the house. !5 years later it is still our favorite room. I even recommended JRC to two friends who also had major additions done and were completely happy with their work. I still see the company foreman at a social event once a year. If you planning an room addition or big remaodeling job I would highly recommend JRCContruction. I have nothing but the highest praise for Jim C and his crew.

Overall, the project went well. JRC met the expected timeline and we are happy with the final product. The people working on the project were polite and professional and made the experience pleasant. Well, as pleasant as it can be when your house it torn apart and people are walking through starting early in the morning. With that said, the project management could have been a little better. They knew what they were doing and when everything was happening but didn't always tell us. This caused some problems when they needed decisions or door hardware or stuff like that from us. It caused situations where they needed us to make important decisions at 7:00 am so workers could do the work that day. This didn't always happen, but it did happen sometimes and created extra stress for us (as we will live with these decisions for a long time). After about a month of this, we forced them to give us a schedule with our dependencies so we knew what was happening, when important decisions needed to be made, etc. We also got them to meet with us on a weekly basis so we better knew what was going on, how the schedule was changed due to this contractor coming earlier of this one later, etc. Things went a lot smoother after we did this.

I couldn't give JCR any higher praise for the work that they performed. It has been 16 years and still very happy with the work. You have to be flexible when you are living thru this scope of work and be ready to add to your budget whenyou discover things you want changed or added in mid job. The emplyees do an excelleant job of listening and details. I recommended JRC to two associates who used them and thanked me for the recommendation. Two years after my addition was completed we added a three season room that was built by JRC and it is one of our favorite rooms in the house.

We received several estimates and went with JRC. They brought in an architect who listened and worked with us. The window had great ideas. The kitchen guy provided great ideas. The project started on time (thanks to Matt walking permits through and getting it all scheduled). The project manager was responsive, onsite when needed and handled any issues that came up on the fly. The crew was here always early and was extremely clean professional. The cabinet installer was fantastic. The only downside was the company used for siding wasn't as professional and as high standard as the JRC employees. The project ended on time and under budget. Can't do any better than that. We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary of the new kitchen and everything is still great.

The woman Carole who called me back was coarse, unfriendly and just not professional at all in my opinion.

They were awful. They were never on time. They went way longer than they were supposed to. They would start the job and then not show up for days. I paid for an architect on my own to draw up blueprints and they never looked at them. They forgot two windows in the design. I had to be on them every day when I got home, if they were here to be sure they had done what they were supposed to do and to be sure they had done it the right way. The price was fair. It is still standing. I have actually knocked on doors where I saw their sign and told the people to watch out; that's how bad they were.

I contacted the company through their website regarding a bathroom remodel. Matt Cochran emailed me saying that he could not discuss for 1 week due to family illness. After 2 weeks he contacted me to discuss my project and wanted to set up an in-home evaluation/estimate immediately (scheduled for the very next day). Not only did he not show up at the appointment time, but has not responded to my email inquiring about the missed appointment. Perhaps there are extenuating circumstances, but what am I to think? As we all know, first impressions are pretty important.

We remodeled the master bath of our home. While the overall end product is fine, we had a series of issues throughout that would prevent us from using them again. Primarily are issues were in a) project management, b) billing processes, and c) lack of follow-through. At first, the project started out quickly and on time. Then mistakes were made with installing the wrong dry wall (which we noticed, pointed out, and they agreed to rip out and do over). Once the dry wall rip-out occurred, the project timing unraveled further. A 6-8 week project took 16 weeks with further delays, and required our daily vigilance to keep on top of them - who was coming and what were they doing. We had also picked out and had all fixtures and cabinets in the house prior to starting the demolition; they did not review the products we had picked out and therefore made mistakes in the materials needed and caused additional delays when it came time to installing them. They also double-invoiced and incorrectly billed our project multiple times, where we had to explain to them how to bill us. Overall, we wouldn't recommend them until they make improvements in their project management and billing.

We hired and architect to make a very specific room addition with very specific specs for the window glass which covers 75% of the added wall space. As the room was framed out, it was apparent 2 large windows and transoms had not been accounted for - our discovery. Once the windows were installes, I discovered while cleaning the glass that a lesser grade of UV protective glass had been installed. This required complete reglazing of all 16 windows (not at our expense). The ceiling fan had to be installed twice due to unsafe first installation. And the details of many other 'detail' issues goes on and on. It was a very unpleasant experience, and we refuse to give out JRCs name.

They have done a very good job. They are really meticulous about their work and pay good attention to detail. If something is not right, they fix it right away. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for, sometimes.

They did a lot of work. They completed the project with high quality workmanship. Their quality and the budget were good. They didn?t meet the time frame that they communicated, but I had no illusion that they would. So, the project was extended.

They were very prompt in getting back to me and fixing an appointment. There was nothing I disliked about them. Their prices were a little bit above average.

Everything went very well. I think they're very conscientious and took great pride in the work they did.

Love these guys! They stayed pretty much within the estimates they gave us for the work to be performed. They were very responsive when problems arose (as is inevitable with a remodeling project). They were professional as were the subcontractors (electricians, concrete, woodworking and painting, siding, windows) they hired for each job. We are very satisfied with our new porch. It melds seamlessly with the existing house and greatly enhanced our curb appeal. Still can't believe they lowered the driveway a foot and a half - but it was so worth it this past winter with all the snow we had. JRC is a bit more expensive that other bids we received, but we think it was worth a bit more to have such responsive and conscientious workers.

Matt was extremely professional and personable. He was sure to give us realistic details of what this job would involve. He didn't sugarcoat anything, which we really appreciated. His paperwork was thorough, easy to follow, and precise. He seemed very trustworthy and reliable. It was a tough decision, but we decided to go with another contractor who was slightly less expensive than JRC. We wouldn't hesitate to call JRC with any other home projects down the road.

They did a real good job. They had good communication and follow through. Easy to work with, very accommodating.
