"NOTE: Person who wrote the review is the husband of the person named above. Project details will be uploaded to our profile pictures for corroboration. "Good Review in our opinion" Original Scope of work: Removal and replacement of drywall in laundry, removal and disposal of wall paneling, particle board paneling, detach of two wall cabinets, moldings (crown, fillers, baseboards, casing) and relocation of dryer duct vent. Consumer request: Replace drywall behind washer/dryer Project proposal cost: $1200 Project final cost:$1275 + $51 Credit Card Fee. Mr. Faramarz M. [Consumer name withheld at their request], We understand that you are on a tight budget and while we make every effort to spell out every possible detail, it is ultimately up to you to read all of the terms and conditions and accept or decline any service of our services. Our contracts/estimates in general do mention that all types of payments are accepted including; Credit Card Payments, there is a nominal fee of 4%. We asked that you use a different type of payment, cash or check. We suggested "check" and save yourself the fee ($1275x 4%= $51 fee) for which you refused. It was always your choice on how to pay! Insulating us, and posting a bad review. You're correct in that we bill at $75 per man hour including materials. If you must know, roughly 25% of the money we collect is paid in insurance, logos, overhead, etc. The rest goes to materials, work wages or salaries and lastly a small profit in average 10% or less. We did quote the bulk of work in advance and all being inclusive of the labor and materials used, with proper terms and conditions, proper 3 day right to rescind and lastly notifying you of the possible extras for addition of framing to a "California corner". We believe you became frustrated when asked to pay for the extras. Extras that you requested on your and your wife's behalf; bracing to water lines, replacement of dryer duct to a semi rigid duct, demolition of soffit, installation of an upper cabinet, among other things. Original amount was $1200, you incurred $75 in extras total and $51 in processing fees- Totaling $1,326.00. In conclusion we regret not being able to fully satisfy your needs as a customer. But one thing worth noting is that the quality of our work was impeccable and did above and beyond what we charged you. We do not work for free, and as a business we are entitled to a profit. We wish you the best of luck, and thank you for the business you awarded us. Yours truly, Joan (Jay) Martinez President @ Dirty Deeds LLC 847-307-1936 Police report is available dated 4/8/19 Wheeling PD."
