My sister admired an arrangement from BBA Flowers & Art Gallery, 2314 E. Rand Rd. Arlington Heights, Ill. at a Memorial Service. I took a picture of it, emailed it to Michella at BBA, who took my order; I specified, TWICE, the curly twig branches which added elegance to the nearly 2' high arrangement. I told the b'day party hours, 1-4, & said I wanted to be there when they were delivered, not only to tip the driver, but to see the surprise and enjoyment on my sister's face. I was told it would be delivered at or about 2 p.m. When I arrived at 12:45 p.m. it was already there & I missed seeing my sister's enjoyment over what she had so admired. It was placed safely as a centerpiece on a table away from guests, which also had the paper plates/napkins, etc. Going through chemotherapy, I left early. My sister called me that night, told me when she picked it up to re-package it to take home the whole arrangement, from top to bottom, fell in half...the plastic container, and, the VERY dry floral foam, including the flowers! IT HAD NOT BEEN KNOCKED OVER; had it been, the very design of the arrangement would've been all over the place, as it NOW was! I called "BBA" first thing Monday, Michella called the owner, then relayed to me that "she would give me an 'allowance' on the twigs". I told her that was an insult, this should have never happened. She called the owner back, who insisted it was alright when she had done it. Alright, even giving her the benefit of the doubt, then all I can think of is the driver must have hit a big pot hole in the street which cracked the cheap plastic bowl. For $65 I would've at least expected even a clear glass "bowl". I was told the owner wanted to see the arrangement at my sister's home, whose home is roughly ten minutes from this florist. She also wanted to talk with me. I gave Michella MY phone number, and my SISTER'S phone number. SHE NEVER CONTACTED EITHER ONE OF US, but simply ran the charge through. This, to me, is the worst, most unprofessional "I DON'T CARE" attitude I've ever seen of anyone running a business. I would say to anyone looking for a "lasting" arrangement....Let The Buyer BewareTHERE HAS BEEN NO CONTACT/RESOLUTION FROM THIS FLORIST.
