Large area on grass with sealcoat..other smaller areas. New mailbox (This year) with a area of black sealcoat on the post. One long crack they missed with filler.

It went very well and the driveway looks great. The only reason that the punctuality and responsiveness ratings are at a 'B' is because the crew got delayed and we needed to contact the office to see if the work was still going to be done that day. We would have preferred a call to give us an update. However, we would still use this company again because they did a very good job.

Great work, quick turnaround and very professional. Work was performed as specified and on time.

The new driveway is lovely to look at (the old surface was too broken up even for sealcoating), and they were able to cure the horrible bump where the garage floor and the driveway meet. However, there was one issue I was extremely particular in pointing out that was NOT fixed, and I'm very unhappy about that, especially since I left a message about it and never got a call back. Near the street end of the drive, there is a considerable dip that collects water after heavy rain or snow melt. More than once I have had visitors such as delivery people step through snow that covers it only to break the ice beneath and find a foot in the water. As I said, I was quite specific about having this taken care of. The representative said he would make sure the water drained off the drive, but it does not. It still pools in the same place (although less than before).

Happy with driveway, have recommended Suburban Sealcoating to neighbors and co-workers. Craig responded to all emails in a timely manner and provided 3 different estimates/options for us. Considering how goofy the weather has been we weren't sure if the driveway would ever get done because of the rain. Craig personally stopped by the house to let us know when he would be finished with the driveway.

I called early in the afternoon on a Wednesday to schedule an estimate. Someone came out the same day about 3 hours later to provide the estimate. I thought the estimate was fair and called the following morning (Thursday) to schedule the job. They said they were working in the area the following day (Friday)and could fit me in around noon or shortly after. The crew arrived on time made contact with me just to let me know they were there and to make sure I didn't need any other cars out of the garage before they got trapped in while the new sealcoat dried. The crew did good work and cleaned up after themselves when they left. The company even gave us a $5 discount on the job for scheduling it quickly. Very good experience since the whole process from estimate to job well done was only about 48hrs total. Will use them again next year or the following for sure.

Excellent job. He came out and provided an estimate that included crack filling and sealcoating. Delivered as promised on time and a quality job. I was impressed with the job and price. I've used a lot of sealcoating services over the years and this was the best.

The owner, Craig Katzenmaier, came and gave me an estimate at my convenience. Our driveway had not been sealed for 3 years and this past winter caused several cracks. Craig provided specific recommendations to address the problems so that our driveway would last without needing to be replaced. I wanted a very fussy job and Craig's crew was very good at their trade. The crew chief has worked for Craig for 11 years and the assistant for 5 years. The crew chief answered all my concerns on the day of the work and gave me additional information, which I really like. I value knowing as much as I can about any of the work performed on our property. There were no surprises regarding the work performed and the price. The finish is a rich looking color.

Craig stopped by on Monday to look at our driveway, providing a reasonable estimate for seal-coating. Our current driveway was not maintained properly by the previous owner, and will most likely need to be replaced in the next couple years. Craig was upfront, explaining what sort of patching they can do, but also explaining the current state of dis-repair. Our hope is to try to keep our driveway a couple more years. When the time comes to replace the asphalt, I will definitely consider Suburban Sealcoating.

Craig is a very good with scheduling flexibility and communication. His crew got right to work on arrival. There were 2 workers and you could tell they have worked together for a while....very little wasted motion, each knew what he was supposed to do. I will absolutely hire Suburban Sealcoating again next year. They are a little bit more expensive than some of the other companies, but well worth the small difference.

They did an excellent job. After I called, they came out and left a quote; then called me back immediately when I asked them to come out. They let me know 2 days ahead of time when they would be out, and also let me know approx. time when they would be here, important so that my car wouldn’t be trapped in the garage. They showed up on the day and time they said. Edged the drive, brushed off the surface dirt, then blew the debris away. They even made sure the sidewalk was clear of debris. The coat was applied within all edges, no overlap onto the grass or sidewalk. No thin spots, lines, or uneven application. Cleanup was perfect, no mess anywhere. They left a line strung across the drive.

I was very happy with the quality of the work. I had a sinkhole near my garage and they patched it for me (twice) at no charge. I will definitely use them next year!

I called Craig on Tuesday and he immediately called me back and scheduled for Friday. I had tried calling a number of listed companies that do sealcoating but he was the first to respond. He came out, gave an estimate and reviewed his service with me. Since I am in Grayslake, I like the fact that he is local and also his professionalism. Two guys showed up on Friday. They swept and cleaned the driveway and did all the edging nicely. Then they got all the cracks filled and sealcoated the driveway. I have a concrete sidewalk, so it was nice that they didn't spill any black sealant there or on the curb. Since there were two workers, it was done in about 45 minutes and they ran a line across the driveway so nobody will drive on it. Sealing is one of those jobs you can do yourself, but when you add up all the gear you need and hassle versus the $65.00 to have pros do it, it is a no-brainer to have it done professionally. Really, the biggest issue I have run into is scheduling with other companies so the fact that he responded quickly and scheduled this week was great.

I left them a message on a Saturday night and they called me first thing Monday morning. He explained the process of the coating and he assured me he would provide the best price available.

Saw work they did on neighbor's driveway. Neighbor was happy. Contacted them, had an estimate the next day. 9cents a square foot for sealcoat and crack fill. Added cold patch for space between driveway and garage and to reduce bump at curb. Craig warned that the curb is risky and he would not guarantee curb work. I found this straightforward and refreshing. Day of work, they appeared on time and did a good job including cleaning. Two weeks later, everything still looks good including risky curve cold fill. The driveway still looks great 6 months later, easy winter with some salt use.
