"I was waiting for the tech and I had a no call no show twice. When I called the co. to check on a eta I was told my appointment had been rescheduled. I wasn't contacted about the new date annd time each time. I was very upset when it happened a 2nd time and spoke to the manager. He had somebody come out the following day. The lady I was dealing with concerning my yard work has been very knowledgeable and provided good customer service. The men that came out were very friendly and helpful. They completed 2 of my projects and I have one more to go."

"Greg arrived at my house at our scheduled quote time. He gave me a fair quote and then came back to do the job when he said he would. His attention to detail and overall quality of work was refreshing. I've had multiple businesses just not show up or follow through and Greg just became my go to for yard work."

"Excellent communication and project was completed in a timely manner. Love how my pastures look now that they have been mowed, grading around the creek, new culvert installed, and trees trimmed. Much safer creek for my horses with the grading work completed and they can actually use the trees for coverage. Highly recommend."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

The best landscaping for a septic drain field is shallow-rooted grass or native vegetation that helps prevent soil erosion while allowing water to evaporate efficiently. Avoid planting trees, shrubs, or deep-rooted plants near the drain field because the roots can infiltrate pipes and cause blockages. Using mulch or gravel sparingly can also help retain moisture and protect the system without restricting airflow.

The best type of rock for landscaping depends on your specific project and needs, as different rocks are suited for different applications. For covering large areas or creating an affordable driveway, consider gravel, but note that it can wash away in flowing water. For water features, river rocks are a good option. Flagstone and cobblestone are ideal for aesthetically pleasing patios and walkways. If you are building a stone wall, fieldstone or small boulders are up to the task. Large boulders and landscape rocks work well as statement pieces, to fill empty space, or to indicate boundaries, but be mindful that they can overwhelm smaller gardens. The best approach is to first define your landscaping project and then select the rock type that best fits that purpose.

If you don’t like the way your empty drainage ditch looks, reach out to a local landscaping professional to discuss your options. They may be able to liven it up with plants, stones, bushes, or other decorative elements. You can also add your own landscaping, but you should first make sure that it won’t block your ditch or prevent it from operating effectively.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

While you can leave roots in the ground, if you don’t want the shrub to regrow again over time, it’s best not to leave any roots behind. Ensure you remove as much of the shrub as possible, including the root ball and any main roots you can see, to prevent new growth. Some gardeners opt for using a chemical treatment to prevent the stump from growing back, but this can kill beneficial microorganisms living in your soil.
