Communication was great with Universal Home Improvement. The job was done in a timely matter. The crew did a good job on the final cleanup very smooth and efficient process I would highly recommend any family or friends for any storm restoration needs.

Universal Home Improvement LLC did a wonderful job with getting our roof, gutters and skylights replaced. Working with Mike and his team has been a smooth and great experience. We were kept updated on status as the project progressed and pleased with the work done. Would highly recommend.

It went perfectly. They were timely, professional, and provided quality work. We have already referred them to others and will continue to do so in the future.

I hired Universal Home Improvement of Colorado in the spring of 2017 to replace my roof which was damaged by a major hailstorm. I gave them a large deposit and asked to have the work done in October, after hail season. When October came, I didn't hear from them and tried to call Michael Espinosa, the owner and only name I had for the company. Eventually I reached him but did not get a definite answer about when the work would be done. Later when I called, I talked to Chris Mateo, who was helpful but also vague about schedule. He came by and left a few supplies Dec. 3. Then I heard nothing more for three months, in spite of numerous attempts to reach them. I began to fear that they had run off with my money and that I would never see them again. Eventually I did reach Chris and got a commitment. The work started April 4, 2018 and finished April 7. The energetic and professional crew did a good job. I am satisfied with the work they did and am confident that the roof is in good shape. However, the difficulty in reaching anyone and the long wait for the work to be done was very frustrating. There are other roofers who are easier to deal with.

Originnaly I was very frustrated with the lack of communication and the concern that I had already signed over a deposit. Lesson learned on my behalf, in the future I would not sign over any funds until materials are delivered at the very least. Mike did make contact after that post, and got the work back on track. Overall they did a good job with the re-roofing, paint and windows. Roof has now passed inspection and job is final. I appreciate Mike's efforts to make things right in the end. He even ended up throwing in some additional work for the inconveniences. I would not be hesitant to hire him in the future, It is just important to keep communication open between all parties.

This company is a total scam. once they receive your deposit they will be nowhere to be found. When trying to contact them several times they will just keep making excuses until eventually you are no longer able to reach them.

We had hail damage on May 20, 2014.  Universal stopped at our door to solicit the repair business.  We had seen a number of their signs in front of neighbors, and had seen that the work seemed to be getting done quickly

Michael promised us that he could do the job, and that we would be very happy.  His partner stopped by and said that since we also needed some interior work, that they would throw in some extras like new shutters and painting our window exteriors.

Without notice, his workers descended on our house, tearing off the  roof and putting on the new one.  His roofing guys work very hard and were very polite.  They did the entire roof in just a couple of days.

Again, there was no communication, until one day a week or so later, a person just showed up at the house to measure for the gutters and downspouts.  These were installed nicely a couple of days later.

Again, no communication, and we are wondering when the interior work will get done.  Finally, we called Michael, who said "Oh, yeah, I will get somebody on it."  His interior guy was polite, but careless.  Paint drips on the floor and carpet were found after he left.  Even worse, Michael did not honor his partners promise of painting the exterior windows without additional payment.

AGAIN, no communication about getting the shutters replaced.  More calls to Michael.  A crew shows up and replaces one of the two sets of shutters.  The other set did not fit and a smaller size was needed.  

AGAIN, no communication about the last set of shutters.  But Michael shows up, looking for his final payment.  I told him he would not get paid until the ENTIRE job was done.  His response was that he "was throwing the shutters in", so we should pay him now.  I told him that was not the agreement, and closed the door.  

Another month has gone by, and no communication from Michael (no surprise there).  We still do not have the last shutters installed, and he has not gotten his final payment. 

Bottom line is that Michael has some good workers for the roof work, but he is not up to keeping tabs on the progress of work and is TERRIBLE in communication.  Calling him today, his cell phone says "Mailbox is full".  Never again with outfit!

They were great started and finished on the days estimated. Roof are gutters look great.
