I have a single-family home and I have used Cosme for some years for basic lawn cutting services. They employees have always been punctual and professional. During construction next door, they were able to find a workaround in order to complete the lawn cutting in the back year.

I contacted Cosme in mid October (not sure exact date) to do some work on my yard.  I requested core aeration, split seeding, bush trimming and a spring clean up.  I was quoted a price of $400.00 to do all the work, which I regretfully paid up front via check. Several weeks passed and I had not received any service so I contacted Cosme to find out what was taking so long.  They said that due to previous clients needing work I had not been serviced but they would be out later that week.  The week passed, and they had not showed up.  However, they went ahead and cashed the $400.00 check.  I called again, this time leaving a message.  I waited about 3 days and was never contacted back so I called again.  This time I spoke to someone and explained the situation.  They were apologetic and said they would have the crew out on Monday.  Monday came.... no crew...  I called again, this time leaving a message.  It had been almost a month since I contacted for services, and a few weeks now since they cashed the check, but did not do any work.  After no one had called me back, I called again.  Again speaking to the same lady I had earlier spoke to.  She stated that it was now to cold to do any of the work I had asked for other than the fall clean up.  I was furious.  I had requested their services almost a month ago, they had cashed the check I sent them for payment, and they are now telling me they can't do any of the work besides a clean up.  
Eventually they came out to do the clean up, but they couldn't have spent much time.  They only trimmed back a few of the annual flowers I have, leaving several knock down roses still standing dead.  They also did not trim any of the bushes and left a large amount of leaves in the back yard.  They also eventually sent me a check for $340.00, the remaining balance from the work they couldn't do.  My biggest issue was if they were that busy they could have just said so and I would have contacted a different company.  I would not recommend doing business with them.

Provider did an excellent job. Showed up on time and exactly as expected.

We hired someone to cut  my parents lawn weekly. We went with Cosme, they were the same price as everyone else, however they do add in an insurance fee of $14.00 for the season, which others do not. Everyone was the same price for the weekly maintenance, so we went with them because they were able to provide many addresses in the neighborhood that they cut weekly as well. What impressed me was their honesty after they broke something off my fathers sprinkler, they came by the house and let him know that it happened and said they would give him the credit on his bill. I thought this was very nice and honest of them when they could have tried to cover it up instead.

Went well enough for me to call them again this year.

From initial appearances, it went well. They came on April 30, 2013, and completed the project in one day. As the summer wore on, I noticed the grass dying in the shape of the pond that had been there before they removed it. I called Cosme later in the summer and they said they would come out to check it out. They never did. Come spring 2014, I'm doing some yard work and the same problem is still an issue, the grass isn't growing properly in the shape of where the pond had been. I put a stake in the ground and it hit concrete, I dug up around the area, and found that none of the concrete pond had been removed. I've called their office several times and finally when I was able to speak with someone in the office, (May 19, 2014) she said Dan was really busy and didn't know when he could come out to see the situation. I have yet to hear from Dan as of June 1, 2014. I'm considering my legal options at this point.

Cosme did the usual lawn maintenance as others we've had in the past. Prices were competitive. It was a very hot summer. The grass was not growing enough to be cut every week. Cosme gave us 3 "free" weeks for the season which was nice. I had mulch as my landscaping between shrubs. The only thing that bothered me was when the crew would clean between the bushes & shrubs, their blowers were so powerful, they frequently blew the mulch completely away down to the bare soil. I told them repeatedly about this. They told me their blowers only had one speed. They could not regulate it. I found this hard to believe as previous lawn companies had blowers with variable speeds.

We changed lawn services in 2013. We now have Dobson Landscaping, Inc. from Orland Park, Ill. This guy has a small crew but is extremely conscientious. Does landscaping & snow removal. He is at:

I would highly recommend Dobson Landscaping for South Suburban homeowners.

It went well. My grass was in bad shape but it looks good now.

I had some overgrown decorative trees and bushes. Company came out with 5 guys and knocked it out in 15 minutes! Great job!

I was very satisfied with their service. They came when they were supposed to and did the job. Their price was cheaper than I thought it would be. The cleaned up and took the branches with them.

Cosme Landscapers are reliable and perform the contracted services well without any hassles. As needed, they have also provided additional landscape work around out house and they are quick to respond to requests with a price. Obviously, since we have retained their services for more than 15 years, we are very satisfied with our landscaping from Cosme.

After I called and described what we needed trimmed, someone promptly came out and gave me an estimate. We asked that the back yard estimate be stated separately because we thought maybe my husband would do it himself. Well the price was too good to pass up, so I contacted them, paid our deposit, and requested that they come after our vacation, which was the following week. The response from them was great. As it turned out the weather slowed them up, so coming out after our vacation wasn't an issue for them. They trimmed what they were supposed to, and did a nice job. They also cleaned up pretty well.

It went fine.  I have had them for two years and plan on keeping them.
