I cannot say this strongly enough - CCA Restoration should never be hired by anyone, ever, and BBB needs to drop them as accredited, Alacrity needs to ban them as a contractor they connect folks with who are in dire straights sorting out huge property damage and insurance claims, who don’t know who to call, State Farm needs to refuse to process any estimate they ever submit again, the City of Chicago needs to revoke their license as a contractor, Alsip needs to revoke their business license, and the owner needs to have criminal insurance fraud charges brought against him. From the owner, to their estimators, to their project managers, to their inept, inexperienced, unskilled, illegal work crews, they have done nothing but lie, cheat and steal from me. They started my project 5 months ago, and not only are they not even close to done, my house is still damaged from water that caused my loss on 1/6/23, and the parts of the house not damaged in the loss, they have damaged due to their lack of care for my home. I cannot say this strongly enough from Roger, the owner on down, everyone at CCA will lie to your face, then so behind your back and steal from you, gaslight you, and never will finish the job. This company and Roger, the owner, down to TJ, the project manager, to Julio, the crew manager, are the worst people I’ve ever dealt with in any setting in my life. They will make your home and life so much worse than whatever caused your initial loss to have hired them. Do not ever hire CCA Restoration. It will be the worst mistake of your life.

We’re unsatisfied with CCA’s recent work on our home after a fire. We will be in the process of writing the IL Dept of Insurance and highly recommend anyone with similar issues to contact them as well. CRE left burnt bare wires under our house(this was a disabled ALS patient’s home, luckily these wires were not live), work undone, and tries to cut corners wherever they can. Donnie is a real nice guy but unfortunately would never hire these guys again.

It was done well. The only thing that I didn't care for was the 10 week wait for them to actually start work on our house. It seemed like once we signed a contract with them and they were sure they were getting a check from the insurance company they took their sweet time getting around to fixing our home.

They were supposed to find where we were getting water from. They were supposed to open up are ceiling and walls to look for mold and the source of leaking. They opened up the ceiling, and stated they and quot;thinkand quot; it is coming from the roof. (They werent 100% sure, but that was part of their job), they closed the ceiling and painted (we had to get a roofer quick and hope for no heavy rain since they and quot;fixedand quot; our water damage) They did not open up our walls, they simply painted over the water damage (brown stains and bubbling). So now, I have to look at my walls every day with bubbling spots that were painted over! Our insurance company recommended them, I would NOT.
We did get a new roof, not knowing what else to do, spent $5700 on that out of pocket (insurance stated that normal wear and tear and not covered) and are HOPING that is wear the leaking is coming from since thats what they and quot;thinkand quot;
The painting job was sloppy, there is paint all over our trim everywhere!!!! And there was paint in our bathroom sink and our bathtub (that I had to clean, that was RED), I understand they had to wash their hands, but why were they in our bathtub????
I am 9 months pregnant with a 2 year old, they said we would be able to stay in the house.... despite all the work, paint, dust, etc being done. I completely disagreed, we stayed out of our house for 3 days. The work was being done in our dining room and living room!!
I am so livid that I have to look at bubbling in my walls and a sloppy paint job every day after paying all that money. Is not right!!

Update: I was contacted by this company after I submitted this review and they came out and fixed what was not done the first time. The laborers still did a sloppy job and missed a few things that had to be pointed out, but everything was fixed.

It went very well. They were prompt in giving us a date when repairs would be done and then showed up exactly on time. The job took one day to complete. They were very thorough and cleaned up everything after finishing the job. We were pleased with the work done and the professionalism of the crew.

They were great! We so lucked out working with them. All the permits went smoothly, they worked without insurance company and took care of everything! They even came up with ideas on how to improve and make some changes. I couldn't be happier!

After all was said and done, the work was well done, but there were issues along the way. I contacted CCA to restore my basement after a flood because they are a preferred partner to my insurance company, and they were the closest to my house. The contact people and workers were all pleasant and professional, but it took a long time to complete the work. My house is for sale so everything was put on hold with the realtor until the work was completed. I was told that it would take no more than 3 days for the drywall and painting and another week for the carpeting. It actually took a month. Appointments were scheduled and canceled frequently. I had to adjust my schedule to be available when it worked for them, and most of the time, the day or time was changed. Because I had a sample of the old carpeting, they were required by the insurance company to test the sample for a match. My sense is that they didn't do this testing concurrent to the other work going on in the house because it took a long time to finish. During the painting phase I noticed a damaged corner to the drywall in my kitchen which is located next to the basement stairs. I understand that accidents happen, but what I didn't like is that they found paint in my basement that they thought was the kitchen paint and painted over the damage without repairing it. It also was a different color paint. They also didn't notify me that this happened so it seemed like they were trying to cover it up. When I called to complain, it was quickly corrected.

This was for an insurance claim. I dealt with them directly for the entire time they worked on my condo. I was going to have some financial exposure due to a lack of sufficient insurance coverage (my fault), but CCA worked with me and my insurance company closely to limit what I would have to pay out-of-pocket. They stayed within my budget nicely while doing excellent work. CCA had warned me that because of a change in Illinois law the oil-based spray that was originally used to do the doors, door frames, wainscoting, and other trim would have to be brushed instead and that the difference in application technique might be visible. Additionally, they said that at the thresholds of the two rooms in which the floor was not sanded OR replaced there would possibly be a visible difference in the color where the new floor met the old. In both cases, their exquisite work matched the older materials and finishes perfectly. There is no way that anyone would be able to tell the difference. Furthermore, they were able to obtain the type of flooring required, even though the Australian Cyprus installed in my house is hard to come by. CCA also moved all the furniture out of my condo and stored it for the two weeks that the work was being completed on my home. That was done with the same professional attitude and ability as the rest of the work. Finally, I had them do several other small projects while they were working in my condo that weren't part of the insurance work. They were more than happy to accommodate my requests even though they wouldn't have had to do anything extra. I was thoroughly satisfied with all of my communications with CCA, from the estimators to the site supervisors to the actual contracting crew chief. The work was performed on schedule and as promised. They were fair about a payment schedule, too. I would use this contractor again without hesitation.

The only problem was that after the work was completed I asked them to come back to provide a estimate of further work needed. The estimate seemed out of line and I called them to discuss the estimate and they never returned my call. The above grades are based on the work completed not the estimate.
