Worst experience of my time! Several runs and drips with dust in the finish! Joe sent his employee Allen back to repair. All Allen did was to sand only one of the runs and a few of the dust particles and then attempt to buff it out. Allen Left many areas of dust and several runs and called it a day! Allen then told me he was finished. When I inspected the repair it was sub par to say the least. He then proceeded to tell me it was not a Ferrari and I should not expect that quality of work. Very condescending. I then sent Joe (owner of company) several pictures and asked him if this was acceptable! He texted me back that it was! I told him I was done with his company and had to get another company in to do the Job properly. Joe has tried texting me and calling me to come over and look at the job and that he wanted toā€make it rightā€! I told him not to bother as I was done with his company! Lesson learned! My friend who recommended Joe also had a run in his tub finish but did not want Allen to come back either! Allen also tried to overcharge me by $100.00!

We had a 45 year blue bathtub and tiled bath enclosure.. Joe gave us a very reasonable price to refinish both. we also had the faucet fixture replaced and grab bars installed. The process went smoothly, the fumes from the refinishing process were vented outside and little to no dust. A 72 hour window was recommended before using the bath area. It now looks brand new. If you are thinking about having your tub refinished, I would highly recommend Joe. He explained the procedure thoroughly, came at the appointed time, worked very clean, gave great suggestions on how to make the bathroom look new. We now have a tub and tile area that you would never would think was a 1970's blue bath 3 days ago . It is just beautiful.

Joe did a fantastic job camouflaging the bright green and pink flower design with a white finish. He refinished the shower pan and now it looks brand new. We thought we were going to have to re-tile and replace the shower floor to get rid of the early 90s look. Joe saved us a fortune.

This contractor does not stand behind his work. I am in the process of having some bathroom remodeling done. Arlington Porcelain completed a bathtub refinishing job for me about 18 months ago. My highly respected contractor let me know that the work that Arlington Porcelain did was done improperly so I called Joe to request that he fix it. When I called him to ask him to fix the work, he refused, swore at and threatened me. My contractor followed up with him shortly thereafter. Here's the body of his email exchange with my contractor: Arlington Porcelain: Gentleman, I appreciate the opportunity to work on this project, but I will not be providing my services. XXXX and I just had a conversation over the phone and I feel that it would be best for either her, or the general contractor, find a more qualified bathtub refinishing company. I understand the general contractor has significant credentials, but damage to a refinished bathtub caused by the removal of a drain is not considered ā€œwarranty workā€. Sincerely, Joseph Raclawski Arlington Porcelain Refinishing Service 847-776-0050 My contractors response: Joseph, Honestly, the drain wasn’t taped or backed out when you last finished tub. No offense, but this was your team's oversight and when we backed drain it was painted to tub which caused issue. Nothing about our/my credentials its about standing behind your work when not done correctly. This was a simple repair. Apparently, he doesn't feel qualified to fix his own work? It's never ok to threaten a customer or not stand by your work, not to mention treat your colleagues disrespectfully.

We had a bathroom that hadn’t been remodeled since the 80’s, and had a limited budget to make some upgrades. Arlington Porcelain gave me a price that was better than the price of a total hit job. They painted my tub and tile and gave my bathroom new life. The work was very professional and was completed in the timeframe that was proposed. I definitely use Arlington Porcelain again!

Allen came out, prepped the area to protect the floor, walls and vanity from the work and set-up a vent through the window. Work went well and now I have a bathtub that looks brand new!

We got quotes from remodelers for re-doing our old, 1940's era, pink bathroom. The prices were incredibly high! Instead, we found this company to help us for about one tenth the cost. I read about the durability of this treatment -- a review of over eight years and that helped encourage us. For us, it's been almost a year since the transformation and it all still looks brand new. This finish is incredibly tough. I did not know at first that they could knock out old-fashioned things like tooth-brush holders, soap dishes, and tiled-in towel roads. They simply replace these with blank tiles and then they get covered by the refinishing. This business has generations of experience. They are very professional. The prep work is incredible, making the tile and grout perfect before the refinishing. Takes a couple of days. During that time they have an exhaust system to prevent dust from sanding getting around the house. Afterwards, the grout is also covered by the finish ending the problem of the porous grout surface collecting bad stuff and dirt. Everything is easily cleanable now. They also helped us with a new tile floor for the bathroom. We replaced the glass door on the built-in tiled shower on our own. I put in new towel rods, a new medicine cabinet and vanity from Home Depot and voila -- a beautiful, new-feeling bathroom at a fraction of the cost.

So far so good - waiting for the cure time at this point. Ordered sime new fittings to complete the bathtub renovation. This method is so much more time and cost effective than tearing out the old tub, wall and floor tile. Expecting this to last 15 years.

Very professional. We were given some incorrect information BY SOMEONE ELSE about the timeline for when we should have the tub done during our bathroom remodel. I scheduled for Arlington to come and refinish the tub and on the appointed date the gentleman showed up (on time) and proceeded to tell me that we really needed to wait and do the tub after some other work was already complete, and he would rather come back at a later date. It took the poor guy about an hour and a half to drive to our house for the job, only to turn around and go back. I felt terrible, but he took the time to explain the process to me and why it would be better to wait until a different stage of the remodel in order to get the best result. He could have just done it, but it was worth it for him to make sure it was done right. I really appreciated that and had them come back a couple of weeks later and it turned out beautiful.

Joe & Allen are wonderful! The tub and tile look brand new now. A plumber accidentally scratched the newly refinished surface while installing fixtures, and Allen came back to fix the scratch at no charge. Excellent service, excellent quality, and excellent value.

While cleaning one of the two bathtubs today, I realized that today (July 9, 2016)--nearly nine years after Arlington reporcelained them in November of 2007--both tubs are still glossy & white and very nearly as beautiful they were after Arlington reporcelained them so long ago.  One of the tubs has been used just about every day.  The other, which is in a rental apt, has been used more sporadically.  I get  compliments about their appearance.  Felt I should share my experience.  Kudos to Arlington Porcelain Refinishing!

Chris was great.
He taped/masked off everything before painting, and vented the smells out of the house. He also later came back to add the non skid surface and recaulk the tub.

WOW!!
We have a 25 year old bath tub with an unusual color.  There were two area's where the porcelain was damaged to the steel tub base.  The repair matches perfectly.  I can't even tell there was ever any damage to the tub.
I would highly recommend this company.

We had a very good experience working with Joe on sprucing up our bathroom. The bathroom was one that was originally functional, but had seen better days. We felt that we could never let our guests use it since it was out of shape.
We had previously had a bathtub reglazed by Arlington Porcelain and had a very good experience. So we asked Joe what he could do with this bathroom. He suggested repairing and reglazing tile, reglazing the bathtub, and installing new floor tile. We did just that and the end result was excellent.
We have house guests coming for Thanksgiving and proud that they can use the newly updated bathroom!

Sometimes you know who you are working with when there are problems. Arlington Porcelain was reglazing our bathtub and some water inadvertently dripped on the surface. They were very professional and fixed the problem right away on the next business day. The end result was a beautiful bathtub that I wish we had done earlier.

I am writing this long-term review because we had this work done over 15 years ago and the bathroom tub (over porcelain and tile) and shower (over a fiberglass pan and tiled walls) still look perfect. This coating product really does last, and the surfaces keep the shine as long as they are cleaned with a sponge and a spray-on cleaner, not abrasives. We sold this house in July and will be asking Arlington Porcelain to refinish 2 tubs and surrounds in the new home we just bought in August, 2015. For the price, it's a lot of bang for the buck, and a fraction of what pulling out old tubs/showers, installing new ones, and re-tiling would cost. A bonus is that you can change colors, and it's a breeze to keep clean since the grout lines get coated too. I recommend this company without reservation. (Re price...I do not recall the exact amount, but I believe $1400 pretty much covered the costs for both bathrooms at that time.)

"Thank you for the kind words. Your testimonial regarding quality of the product is greatly appreciated! As expected, the refinished pieces should look like new when completed. What it's going to look like 10 years later is usually an after thought or never considered. As I tell many customers, this material may be an "old" technology, but it is PROVEN technology! Thank you again. Sincerely, Joe Raclawski Owner"

It went extremely well.  Professional through and through.  Clean job site after work done.  Clear directions on use after work completed.  Tub looks amazing....makes me wonder why I waited so long to do this.  I would have Joe back in a heartbeat for any tub work that is needed.  Based on this job, I would wholeheartedly recommend Joe and his company for any services he provides.
