LONG ELECTRIC

Took a long time to finally connect with Mr Long about my job. Played phone tag for quite some time. When we actually connected, guys where out the next day for a bid. My wife was in a rush to get the room finished so she was excited they came soon. And the cherry on the whipped cream is that they completed the bid and said they could do the one switch/light run the same day! My wife called to get approval and I said "yes, absolutely". (Did I really have a choice?) They did exactly as they were requested on the work, (Still no quote on the remaining honey-do list). They cleaned up after themselves correctly and did it all without waking the baby in the room above them. My preference of the location of the light switch is that it is a touch lower than the rest of the switches in the house, but that is minor. I also thought more plaster was knocked out than required, but that is perhaps not intentional. Old plaster, when disturbed, is sometime easy to break off the wall. I had him use wire I bought so the material charge was only the switch, two electrical boxes and a bezel. The quote with all the material was $250 and once he figured the actual bill, it came to $216 (using my wire). This is my first electric service so I have no basis for knowing if good or bad. I certainly did not think it was a bad price. I would not hesitate to use him again again or recommend him to others.
