US Tree Service was great to work with. Mike was on time, he listened and provided an estimate (very reasonable) of what we discussed. The crew showed up on the day as promised and work in a professional manner, completing the job and walking us through what had been done to our satisfaction. I would definitely use them again and have recommend them as well.

Appointment was set for 9:00am Sunday. He arrived 20 minutes early then left when nobody answered the door. I was still in the shower when he arrived. I purposely woke up 1 hour on my day off of work to meet him at 9am. people have schedules they have to adhere to. Some of us also work in the Loop and cannot be home until a certain time. You can't just show up at some earlier time and expect them to be there. The least he could have done is wait until 9am before taking off for his next estimate. I was ready at 8:50am but he was already gone.

US Trees Service was great! I would hire them again. They came with a large crew and took down two dead trees quickly and safely. They handled prep work such as call JULIE to mark utility lines and did a great job cleaning up the yard. We had a brief delay / rescheduling due to rain, but that wasn’t US Trees fault. I highly recommend them.

I am simply devastated by the lack of customer service I have received and want to be sure everyone knows what happened and how I was treated. First let me preface this review by stating that when I did my research and initially spoke with this company-everything was great, no complaints-everyone was friendly, professional and seemed like the perfect company to work with. So... I contacted US Treee Service because I have a large apple tree in my backyard and it is growing over the Comcast and ComEd lines. I contacted ComEd and Comcast and asked if this was something that they needed to do, they assured me that it was not and I should speak with a Tree Service. I began my quest to locate a reasonably priced company to trim the tree and remove all of the limbs from the power lines and comcast lines. I spoke with the lovely receptionist at US Tree Service and explained everything very thoroughly about the ComEd and ComCast lines and she indicated she would have someone go and leave a quote. This was prompt and reasonable. I called back to confirm and schedule the trimming and again asked if I needed to have ComEd or Comcast involed as I did not want anyone to get injured and certainly didnt want any interruption with my service.She assured me that there was no need to involve either ComEd or Comcast. Sooo. I came home from work yesterday driving past my backyard and I see this giant limb on the other side of my fence, just laying there, so I thought they must be there trimming the tree-YAY!!! I went to the backyard and , no one was there. I looked up at the tree and I saw 3 smaller limbs had been cut, however the issues were not resolved, as there were still limbs covering the ComED line as well as the Comcast line. I went inside to check my voicemail incase they had called and left a mesage about any issues they may have had and realized that I had no service. No Internet, no phone, no cable-we have the bulk package from Comcast, so if one is out usually all is out. I called Comcast from my cell and was told that there was an issue outside of the house and they would have someone over to my house the following morning at 10am (today) I went back outside and took pictures so I could show US Tree Service what happened as you can clearly see that the line is pulled down from the pole (I have them posted here) I then called the main line-and left a message for a return call. I then went to their website on my cell phone and found a cell phone number to call. I called and left another message, then I sent a text to that number. Mike from US Tree Service returned the call-he is the owners Son-I explained what happened-thats when it went bad. Mike seriously snickered and said "accidents happen, thats why we have insurance" I asked if he was aware that there was an issue when he left, he didnt answer the question all he said again was "accidents happen" I replied with-I understand that but if he knew there as an issue why didnt he call me and let me know so I could contact ComEd or Comcast. His response " the limbs are all caught up in the lines" I replied with "I know, thats why I hired your company" He didnt say anything so I asked him "Dont you have anything to say" he responded with "Im sorry, but accidents happen" I explained to him that I work from home and require internet to be able to work. He said there as nothing he could do about it and if we are charged by Comcast then their insurance would cover it to fix it. I asked if their insurance would cover the hourly rate for me since I am not able to work because of his negligence and failure to report to me that there was an issue so I could promptly resolve it. He said "I left at 4pm there was nothing that they could do today anyway"(referring to Comcast) I then really got upset and said " So you did know there was an issue and completely ignored it, you didnt even complete the job as requested and quoted, nor did you clean up properly after the work that you did do" He didnt have any response, the phone was silent and I said "I guess I will just have to wait until I hear from the Main office tomorrow" He replied with " I will tell them you called" So it is now the next morning and I have yet to hear from anyone at US Tree Service. I have left another message this morning with no response. This infuriates me to no end. My husband and I really try to work with small businesses so that they can survive, we believe that it is the right thing to do, we didnt go with a BIG company becasuse it really isnt a Major job and we felt that we would give US Tree Service and opportunity to earn our loyalty as well as or neighbors business and loyalty. Word of mouth is everything when you are a small business owner. I dont really know what more to say other than-I will not recommened US Tree Service, I will in fact tell everyone I know about what happened and how we were treated.

Wonderful! Mike (the owner) was professional and friendly, and his crew did a fantastic job. This was a very large job, and I'd bring them back any time. Thanks, guys!

Great, they were professional and got everything squared away. The only issue that I had was that there was still some remaining tree root left once I raked and tried moving all the dirt and wood chips. Still don't know what I am going to do about that.

Would absolutely use them again. I'd give them an A for everything. It took them about an hour. They cleaned up very well. I don't think there is anything to improve upon, they do a great job and everything is done correctly and clean. Communication was great.

The crew had not arrived during the 2 hour window. I called the office to inquire and was told that the crew would arrive a few hours later due to an injury to one of the crew members. I explained that I had another appt and might have to leave home before they arrived. I was told hat if I wasn't home they would bill me. In conclusion, everything worked our, but it would have been nice if they had been proactive and called me. The work was done quickly.

Would have been 100% satisfied had they contacted me and said they were running behind because of another job scheduled before mine. My appointment to have a tree removed and some overgrown bushes was scheduled for 10am. When they didn't show and I didn't hear from them, I ended up contacting the office at 11:30am. The female employee in the office was sympathetic and very helpful and she was able to get in touch with the crew to give me a new time for their arrival....1pm. Once started, the job was done quickly and done well. Aside from the three hour scheduling difference and having to wait around, I'm happy with the work.

I followed up the day before the set appointment and got a sloppy response that they would "hopefully" be able to come. Whoever is replying to emails has horrible grammar skills and was almost undecipherable. Definitely came off as rude. I asked if someone could call me back asap to discuss my concerns and because the lack of understanding via email, and I was told NO, they would call tomorrow before they came to my house. I then asked if I could reschedule to a different day, preferably a Saturday when I could be at my house because I was feeling uneasy about the whole thing. I then got a sloppy response saying NO, and that I should find a DIFFERENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. You're really going to tell a customer who is trying to schedule your services to go to a different company?! UNBELIEVABLE. This situation is extremely unfortunate, as it looks like their services are top quality based on other reviews. But whoever is handling their customer service communication need to be FIRED because the way I was communicated with was 100% unacceptable.

brancThey showed up promptly around noon on Friday (which is the time and date that had been scheduled). The tree that was about 10 feet away from the building was cut down - they had several workers and cut the tree down in sections so that there was no risk of damaging the house. They used ropes to bring the cut sections down - finally cutting down the main trunk as well. They brought in a stump grinder and ground down the stump to below grade level. In addition, I had them prune a couple of branches off of a maple tree and they also cleared the front yard of some tree debris from some work that I had done earlier. The branches were then hauled off into a chip grinder and they raked the yard to get rid of any leftover leaves and twigs from hauling off the branches.
All in all a very professional job and I would certainly use them again

Mike was quick to respond to my request for a quote and came out in the early evening.  I received a couple of quotes, he had the lowest price.
The day of the service, they were supposed to be here by noon.  At 12:30, no one had shown up.   I called the office, she said she would have Mike call me.  He called a few minutes later, said the job he was at was taking longer than expected and he would be another hour.  Around 2 pm, he showed up with a crew of 5 guys. 
The two 12"  trees they were able to take down with one cut, and hauled them around the house to the driveway where they had backed the tree grinding truck to.
One guy climbed the 18" diameter tree and carefully took it down in pieces so as not to damage the bushes or chain link fence below it.  He slung ropes in adjacent trees to support the branches he cut so they could be gently lowered to the ground without damaging the fence or bushes.  
After the three trees were ground, Mike ground all five stumps and his crew raked the wood chips back over the ground stump and left the yard in good order.
Other than not calling when the previous job ran later than expected, they did a great job for a very fair price.

They came about an hour early and I was fine with that. We had 2 whole trees 3 stumps and a bunch of bushes and a huge brush pile that they removed from our property. They did a great job. I had some other bushed that I cut down myself while they were here and they took it all away for me. Mike has a great crew that works quickly. I will use them if  i ever need tree service again.

Everything went great. The crew was fast and efficient and cleaned everything up. I had another estimate that was much higher so I went with U.S. Tree Service with their more affordable estimate. So glad I did and I will surely use them again. I had a tree trimmed and another cut down and the stump ground out.

I had other companies out to give estimates which would have only had 1 of the trees removed.   I've mentioned this company to many co-workers and anybody who needed a tree removed.

All the work was fine until I found the damages gutter and splash block they ran over with the machine used to grind out the stumps. I wouldn't have been to upset but I offered to move my van to give them a clear path but they said they would go around the other side of my house but then i see them drive it right up my drive way and damaged my property and then not even report it I found the damage a few days later. Would never use them or recommend them to anyone else.

Fantastic.  Guys came 1 hour early.  Can't believe guys that came here that early.  One guy climbed the trees, 4 other guys cleaned up after he cut everything down.  Fantastic work.  Would highly recommend.

1 - Excellent job of removing the front tree including the stump.  Took out & cleared away 2 surface roots.  Cleaned up nicely; very pleased with that work.
2 - We had a mis-communication on the back tree trimming.  I agreed I wanted the tree cut back to the fence line, but I didn't expect the branches to just be hacked off.  I expected some shaping.  I was watching the front tree removal and didn't realize a 2nd crew was working on the back.  My neighbor and I agree the tree will grow back so no damage done.  I just learned to give & get more detail in the future.

They were quick to come out and give us a quote. They also had the best price out of the 4 quotes that we received. We called to schedule their service, and they gave us the earliest date possible. On the day of the removal, they were right on time and very efficient. Their stump grinding machine broke so they had to run and get a replacement part. Since it was getting later in the afternoon, I was happy that they committed to finishing the job that day.
Overall, a very quick and painless process, and the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable.

From start to finish, they were fast, efficient, friendly, and very accommodating.  They were the best price of 4 estimates!  It was worth paying for Angie's List to find!
