CARRERA CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

Due to the worker's union strike the start day of my driveway was up in the air. Eventually Carrera Concrete came out to remove the existing driveway, prep the driveway and pour the new driveway. To my suprise they said this could be done all in one day. Approximately 5 months after the install I noticed a crack that ran down the majority of my driveway. The cracks went across the control joints and went through the entire 5" of concrete for 85 feet. I contacted Carrera immediately (in December) to resolve the issue and was informed they would come out when the weather was warmer. I contacted them in the Spring time and Jose (the owner and installer) came out and inspected the crack. He told me that it was just a "surface crack" and that he'd cut and seal the crack with an epoxy and did a test area of about 8" to show me what it would look like. The job was unsightly and obviously didn't address the root problem that is causing the crack. I have tried multiple times to contact Jose to resolve the issue but he is not answering my calls or returning my messages. Jose Carrera is not to be trusted and is not a man of his word. He guaranteed the driveway for 1 year and I have cracks running down 85 feet of my driveway. I have external industry professionals come out and review the driveway and all of them have said this is not what should happen and there is definitely something wrong with the job. They all mentioned that the "cut and seal" solution that Jose suggested would not be the action that they'd pursue since the job was obviously flawed.
