"My job had many facets as I was selling the home. Dan bid all the work in a timely manner, handled all repairs structural and punch list on time and on budget. He documented all structural repairs with photos. Dan advised on how to proceed on repairs after the structural engineer had given his report. I had water damage that involved ripping the entire bath tub area and sub floor out with structural studs needing replacement. We never met face to face only by phone and email. Dan is honest true to his word and was a pleasure to work with. I would hire him again and again. My phone calls were always returned bids accurate and on time, job completed as scheduled."

"I needed a handyman and Mr. Kariotis was recommended to my from a long time friend. I had several problems around the house I just couldn't get around to fixing on my own. I gave him a call and we talked about what I needed done and agreed on a time for him to come by and give it a look. He arrived on time and was quite courteous and polite. Within 15 minutes he had seen the problems I needed fixed and was quick to give me a fair estimate. We agreed on the price and he said he would get the parts and materials he needed, and we arranged a time for him to come do the repairs. Everything was completed in a very timely manner and every bit of the work he did is top notch! I'll definitely be calling him in the future if I have anything else that needs to be worked on!"

Small jobs welcome

Here at Bone and Burl Woodworking LLC, I have three core values passed down from a saying my father and grandfather used. Neat, sweet, and complete. \nNeat: We value cleanliness and order during all parts of the job. We clean up before, during, and after to insure a safe and satisfying work environment. \nSweet: We do our job professionally and curiously. While jobs may be frustrating and situations tense, being kind and honest with customers is our goal.\nComplete: We don't leave things half finished. Doing a job "good enough" is not the right way to do things. We follow through with our jobs to ensure the customer is getting the quality they pay for.\nFollowing these three principals helps us deliver quality service to our customers, regardless of the project they may have in mind.

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

Whether you should choose a flat roof or a sloped roof depends on your particular situation. Flat roofs tend to be less expensive to install. However, sloped roofs have longer lifespans and stand up better to heavy snow and other inclement weather.

Keep in mind that even a flat roof needs to have a slight slope, usually around 1/2 inch for every foot. If it is completely flat, water will pool and cause damage, either from weight or leakage or rot.

This answer varies based on where you are, but most states require that all homes are greater than 320 square feet. Remember that four walls are not the only requirements—windows, closet space, minimal ceiling heights, and indoor air quality are also factors. Each state and municipality differs, though, and as some don’t consider tiny homes permanent shelters, you’ll need to check to ensure you aren’t violating any local or state laws with your build.

While sheds are most certainly helpful for most homeowners, unfortunately, sheds do not add value to a home or property in the traditional sense. However, if the home has limited storage or garage space, having a shed to store things like decorations or lawn equipment can certainly be a positive if you want to sell.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

Your chicken coop needs to be off the ground to protect your chickens and avoid problems brought on by flooding, mud, and moisture. If you can't locate a high area to build the coop, you should build an elevated coop to ensure it stays dry.
