Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
The Tyvarian Marble was a more expensive choice that was based on the reported durability and and overall look of the product. The information I was provided was through a website to a different company that apparently provides the raw materials for Pro Marble to make the products needed. I was very pleased with the walk-in shower which was a replacement for a tub/shower.Three walls and ceiling were covered in the marble, and a recessed nook was built for shampoo, etc. The glass door installers were very pleased with the way the edge was sloped to provide a good support for the glass.
The counter top and a small adjacent shelf were a concern. The first attempt had many inperfections, which were not noticed by the installer. My general contractor contacted the company and the owner came out, and a new top was to be delivered the next week. That one was damaged and the owner showed up at the arranged time to explain that it would need to be re-done. The small shelf was discussed and he said that would be replaced. The third counter top was installed, with some other imperfections, but the shelf was lost at the shop, so another would need to be made. When I pointed out the imperfections in the counter, the reply was that it, (the Tyvarian product) was a developing process and not perfected yet. The shelf arrived a week later, and to my eye, did not match. My contractor worked through the issues and the final product was installed and I've accepted the flaws in the counter top.
The Pro Marble staff was less than neat. They did not clean up as well as I expected. They did keep a professional manner and worked with my contractor well.
