They had a fixed price contract to us within 24 hours with a time line that they kept to the letter. They did exactly what they said they would do and we had no mess at all. These guys are consumate professionals.

FABULOUS WORK! Respectful of home, schedule, and needs throughout the project. A lot of furniture had to be moved and they worked with us to complete specific areas as needed. The craftsmanship is magnificent and every detail covered. We are extremely happy with our new media equipment as well. So easy to operate and wonderful to experience. A great honest hardworking group. I have more ideas and will hire them again!

Ken was very professional to work with. He gave us a lot of options. All 3 workers (cabinet guys, stone guy, and painters) were kind and respectful. Work was performed in the time that was promised and the finished product looks amazing.

They were very nice, professional and clean. The work they performed was well done. What I did not understand when we started the process was that a third party would actually come in to finish the project. The third party was responsible for sanding and painting the woodwork. The cost for the third party portion of the project was NOT in the cost for the initial wainscot. The third party was scheduled and paid for separately. Overall, I was pleased. But if I were to provide feedback to the owners, it would be to make it one process, one vendor and one price.

We have used Appleton Renovations twice now, and both times the finished product looks amazing. The first project was a built-in entertainment center around our fireplace. Everyone that visits our house loves the way it brightens up the room. The second project was a built-in desk/bookshelf system along a wall near the built-in entertainment center. Everything matched perfectly and it has completely changed our family room. Will use them again for the next project without question.

I sent them some pictures and they sent me the quote. The quote was fine and the guy was professional. We didn’t use them because they were a bit expensive.

My husband and I found Ken Appleton on Angie's List back in 2012 while we were living in Costa Mesa. We wanted to completely change the look of our entertainment/fireplace in the family room, since it was the first thing you saw when entering our home. From our first meeting with Ken, he was punctual (actually early) and was very professional. He was calm and explained the entire process to us, explaining that it would take his crew only 3 days to build the center and then two days to finish/paint it. (We also obtained quotes from other companies but knew that we would, ultimately, be the happiest working with Ken.) His crew showed up every day on-time, cleaned up their mess and were totally respectful while working in our home - they were also very patient with my two toddlers who were very curious what was going on in our home. All of the work was completed during the timeframe Ken had promised and I can tell you that the impact the entertainment center had on our family room was astounding and changed the entire look of our home. We LOVED the way it turned out. We were only able to enjoy the new wall for about 11 months because we ended up selling our home and moving to a larger home a few cities away. We know that the money we put into having the entertainment center done made the difference in how fast our home sold (in 6 days). As soon as we got to our new home (where the fireplace is not done) my husband and I looked at each other and both said "We're using Ken again!!!" We still talk about the entertainment center in our old home and how much we loved looking at it. Hopefully in the next few months we are going to hire Ken again to transform our new family room into the same beautiful space we had at our other home. We were very pleased with the outcome of the work. There were some unanticipated additional costs that could not be helped. The mason returned and completely re-worked our fireplace at no additional cost because he and we were not exactly happy with the outcome. We were pleased with his service and addition to detail. I would highly recommend Appleton in the future.

Completely demolished the existing entertainment unit and rebuilt a far superior entertainment unit. It has been exactly one year since the construction / installation. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. The crew remained on the site from start to finish! They did not start the job, leave and come back sometime later to finish. They were extremely professional, talented in their craft, and respectful of my home. They completed the job on time. I cannot express my satisfaction. My only complaint problem: they don't remodel kitchens and bathrooms!

They purchased the electronics to go inside. Their service was great! They all did a good job, they were clean, and told me what they were doing. They followed up well and were good to work with. It took about four to six weeks to complete the work. I was pleased with the service.

Ken came to our house and within 3 weeks had the unit, built, installed and painted. His professionalism and expertise, and thankfully PRICE was unmatched by any of the other "cabinet makers" we brought in for bidding. This is his specialty so the process was uncomplicated and he walked in and he knew what to do before we even told him what we wanted. The only problem was the painting process which they do onsite after installation. The fumes are horrendous and you have to plan for them to block off the whole room for approx 2 days. But in the end it was totally worth it and it has been almost a year and the cabinets show zero sign of wear and you can tell the work was high quality. I highly recommend and trust Ken and his team for entertainment centers.

The overall appearance of the crown moulding post installation is excellent. The match of joints on the vaulted ceilings corners, horizontal corners, and terminations for air conditioning ducts were excellent. Matching the joints on a vaulted ceiling is very difficult, and the result of the Appleton installation was excellent in that regard There was one problem: the joints for horizontal segments weren't glued together, so subsequent caulking/spackle separates during expansion/contraction over the seasons leaving a visible joint separation.

Ken came out to review design and specifications personally. Ken and two man crew showed up promptly in the morning to go through the process and make sure I was comfortable with everything. The guys worked all day with Ken swinging by throughout the day to assist and make sure his crew had everything they needed to get the job done. We were impressed with the professionalism and quality throughout the entire process. Looking to book them for the next project.

I just sent my contract & deposit today, can't wait for the installation! We did get another quote elsewhere just to make sure we were covering our bases and making the right choice. I have to say Appleton Renovations gave us a very fair price for what we are expecting. And I really like that their service handles all the details.

He explained things very well and gave us many different options and pictures to help us choose what option we wanted to go with; he was very thorough. I am considering him to do the job in the future.

?Originally back in 2005 we had our built-in and flat screen installed and never really felt satisfied with the outcome, we considered doing our Entertainment Center again over the years but were so displeased with the services we had received the first time we were reluctant to consider doing it again. We had seen Appleton Renovations ads over the years and always admired the before and after examples they displayed but didn?t think we could achieve the same look considering our layout? curiosity finally got the best of us so we decided to call Appleton Renovations to see what could be done and to my surprise Ken advised we could transform our area into something similar to the ad and within minutes sketched us an example. We are now finished and completely blown away by how beautiful our Family room has been transformed, it?s now like a model home?! What?s funny is as we filed our paperwork we found Appleton Renovations ad from 2005, if we had simply selected them in the first place we would have already been enjoying our built-in for the past seven years.?

Ken is a very nice guy who came out and was very professional in scoping out the project and taking measurements. He has an IPad with lots of examples to look at and was very helpful. We got estimate within a couple of days and in about a week, the work began which took a day. Ken and his company did a great job and the workmanship is very well done. I think it really finishes off our formal living space. I would definitely use Ken and Appleton again for future projects. The only somewhat down note was the subcontractor he recommended to do the painting of the woodwork (which was a separate job). They were not very professional. They brought a loud boom box to play all day in the house and the actual work, which should have taken a few hours, turned into a very long day with the workers taking lots of breaks. The good news is that the final result is a good one as the painting was nicely done, but it took some pain to get there. Ken might want to recommend some other companies.

The experience was phenomenal. They stayed on schedule. Did not go to "other jobs" like so many other builders do. Everything they presented was in an organized fashion. With the designs Ken presented in the beginning, I truly had a vision of what they were going to build, and it was really fun watching them create it. They would always respond to my emails, calls, questions etc. I can't say enough about Ken and his crew.

I thought they were very professional and knowledgeable about entertainment centers. I guess in the end their price was a little higher than other estimates I got. I would hesitate to use them if the price was right.

Outstanding work once again. Everything is even more beautiful than I had imagined. Ken and his team are the best contractors I have ever hired; very professional and great attention to detail. This is our second major project with them and both experiences were great. I would highly recommend Appleton Renovations if you are looking for quality craftsmanship from a great local small business.
