The house was completed. Here is the problem, the organization of the wiring is terrible. They completely consumed two 200 AMP mains in a single family house. They put lights on the same circuit as outlets, meaning that if you blow a breaker at nighttime you are left without any lights. Circuit in the Master Bathroom are consistently off, several outlets will not work. They installed the electrical box for a light in the bathroom and the box is so skewed the light fixture puts weight on the mirror and the mirror breaks, multiple times. The outlet in one room blew, I have been upstairs and downstairs breaker boxes and still haven't determined which fuse has blown. The basement is unfinished and the entire breaker box in the basement is full, some upstairs rooms are in the basement breaker, ie absolutely no organization to how the electrical fuses were laid out. Where do we put circuits for the basement? We have multiple light switches together, and is there any rational on how the lights correleate to the switches? Not at all, the left switch in one case turns on the middle lights, the middle switch turns on the left lights ... And this has happened for every series of light switches. The ran aluminum from the service main into the house. This is mixing copper and aluminum and mixing wire like this under electrical power will deteriorate the wiring, the US Navy is spending tens of millions to eliminate the crossing of two types of wiring material.
If you just want power with no logical organization to breaker boxes, to what switches what on, no careful thought of what makes sense to wire together. These are the guys for you. If you was some outlets to not work like in a bathroom, you want light fixtures mounted that will crack mirrors these are the guys for you.
During construction they put an outlet in the middle of the range. When asked to move the outlet, they said they couldn't do it, so I came in and moved the outlet. They also put an outlet that would be covered by a cabinet and also refused to move the outlet. I moved the outlet for that also.
You are correct, I did not baby sit them as the wired the house. I mistakenly thought that this is what they did for a living, and were being paid $15K to do. Wouldn't they be the experts? If you hire them you better be there everyday to make sure that it gets done. If you want organization, you better be the one to organize. If you want workable circuits, be better supervise them.
