I called once a week to find out if he had fixed it and he said that he was very busy and had not completed working on it. He took the pin out of the shaft that was not allowing the drop feed to come back up and had not yet replaced it and had not touched it since. Finally after 3 weeks I went and picked it up and the pin was sitting in the toolbox that was part of the machine and I had my husband work on it. He worked on it for 2 days because he had to learn how everything was inter-related and got the machine sewing again. It was not a question of just replacing the pin. When the pin is removed the timing of the machine has to be completely redone. An out of town sewing machine repair company that comes into Salmon every couple of months to repair local machines is now looking at it. He had to take it back to his shop in Missoula, MT to have the Pfaff technical parameters available while he did the tweaking that needed to be done to get it back to perfect sewing condition Even though I could have used it after my husband worked on it, I wanted it to be back to the original parameters. This individual will bring it back in a couple of months. In the meantime I have access to another sewing machine that I can use.
