"Firstly, Mr. Matt Bitter did not hire me, but rather his contractor, Mr. Nathan Bull, for whom I have done work for several years. As always, the contractor asks me for an estimate that he reviews and approves and then adds his profit percentage. Said that the work is authorized by the contractor. I started the project intermittently, among other reasons, because there was no water on the project and the tiles that Mr. Bull had ordered did not all arrive at the same time. So I started working on the 32+ square foot shower pan and installing the waterproof membrane on the floor and walls. I asked the contractor about the ordered tiles and he informed me that some of the material had arrived, but that he had not gone to pick it up, so I offered to pick it up, with no extra charge for transportation in a city other than the project location. It should be noted that except for the tiles, the shower materials, niche, thin-set, membrane, grout, and caulk metals trim are included along with the work. Once the project was finished, I let the contractor know and he in turn notified Mr. Bitter, who warned of some details in the cutting of two of the tiles, one on the bench and another on the curb. I responded to the complaint and immediately went to replace the parts. I again notified the contractor who reviewed, approved, and gave me the check. Days later, I started receiving messages from Mr. Bitter, asking me how many hours I had spent completing his project. His question surprised me since the person who gave me the project was his contractor and I do not work by the hour, but by project and he also asked me to let him know how much I had charged the contractor. So I told him to talk to his contractor. He then got angry and sent me several disrespectful, offensive, and threatening messages. If I had previously sent an estimate to his contractor, I assume that the contractor and his client met and agreed to accept the price. In the eleven years that I have been working, many clients know me and are pleased with my services and they are what refer me to other clients. - Javier Ibanez"
