As stated above, he did not start until two days after the agreed upon start date. On the day he did start, he arrived several hours later than stated. He tore out all of the old ceramic tiling of the counter and back splash and removed the old cabinetry. I was later to learn that none of that needed to be done so early in the job as there was a five week wait for the special order cabinets to arrive from the manufacturer. The first day here, lasted until 11:00 pm. He got back here on Thursday, started and ended late again. On this day we were charged for 13.5 hours instead of the 9.5 hours they were here.He skipped Friday, due to his dental issue, nevertheless, I was charged for a day's work anyway. (I had to argue it off the bill.) Saturday, he worked until midnight and for 10-11 hours, although we fed him and his helper dinner, we were overcharged on Saturday because his wife said he didn't come home until after 2:00 am. (I argued that one off the bill as well.)
I wanted to pay by credit card and they charged me their usage fee.
We were charged $250 for the sink (sight unseen) which we hate and are not keeping. He refuses to take it back although originally, he said he wanted it himself for his mother-in-law.
We paid him $700 up front and had no contract offered, although he did say there would be one 'shortly'...never had one.
Our intention was to replace the counter top initially and then we were convinced to also buy new cabinetry. The floor was supposed to remain intact since the linoleum was in very good condition, however, when tearing out the old cabinets, one of his workers tore up the floor so now we have to replace that as well.
I was without any sort of counter or sink from Wednesday thru Saturday. I was also without water at all for most of Wednesday and Saturday. We were told by Herman initially that the job would cost $2000, take a day and we would have a new counter top. He must have had a counter top laying around that he thought we'd want but we didn't want Formica. What he ended up doing was gutting all that we did have, putting up new plywood and insulation and ruining our floor. He also re-did some plumbing that he had previously done for us less than a year earlier. Of the plywood walls, my husband was so disgusted with the cuts and the shoddy workmanship, that he tore everything out again, made straight cuts, leveled and squared up the walls, and replaced.
So, basically, my husband did everything over again. He even re-did the drainage pipes under the sink because the new set up that Herman put in took up the whole space under the sink leaving no room for storage. In conclusion, I'd have to say that we were pretty dumb in not getting a contract first and paying for a job like this on an hourly wage basis. Seems like he's a really nice guy and we trusted him; we liked him and we were trying to help him by giving him our business. Triple A Plumbing is done here because we can't afford his type of work anymore. (There was a previous hire when a window was broken.) We are having Lowe's do the remaining work on the kitchen and re-doing the floor ourselves.
A kitchen takes a long time. To date, we still have no counter top. Buyer Beware!
Response from Triple A Plumbing
"This review is very misleading. We took this job for about $3000.00. The customer ordered all cabinets, countertops, flooring, etc. from a big box store. We did not supply anything but a sink. She was running out of money and we told her we had purchased a sink for my mother-in-law on a clearance sale from a plumbing supply store. We offered it to her at cost. We took out and showed her and she approved of it. We installed in and then about 2 weeks later she changed her mind. We agreed to take it back but only give her back 1/2 of her money since it was now a used sink (we can't sell it again as new and we had gotten another sink for my MIL). Due to multiple change orders (she made multiple changes) which do cost more in most cases it did increase the cost of the project. We also did run into a few issues with the pipes as when we removed walls there were some issues that of course we could not know about until the pipes were exposed. We did not finish because she decided that the extra costs were all our fault. Since then her husband has contacted us an apologized for her because he felt she was out of line and had been difficult with the people she hired after us also. Her husband ended up finishing the work because of lack of money (a project he stated several times he did not want done but was agreeing to so she would be quiet). We did add a credit card fee because she originally wanted to pay by check and cash then changed to credit card. We had quoted her a cash price. Since credit card merchants charge for their service if we give a cash discount and then have to charge a card the cost of this service has to be paid some how and so we were honest and billed it to her directly. I guess we could have jacked up our price and hidden it in some other item but we felt that was not right. Her husband did the electrical as he was skilled in that area. The formica counter top was what she purchased not us. After it was out she changed her mind. Because of this the new one she ordered was going to be delayed by a few weeks so we did put in a temporary counter top. It was not a real counter top but a wood top with the sink installed in it so she could have a kitchen in the mean time. Sorry if I am rambling but this is a frustrating review as she has not been honest in the review and now we are having to defend ourselves. I waited so long to respond because I also got a little hot under the collar when trying to respond to this review. I am a licensed plumbing contractor. I do not do any electrical or concrete pouring that is very extensive. I refer the customers to licensed professionals for this type of work. And they are always able to hire who ever they want as long as they are licensed (we don't want to have our insurance covering they work). Hope this helps anyone who reads this review understand our side of this story."

Herman Govan, owner of Triple A Plumbing, tore up our property without our consent then he promised to fix it back up again but he never did. He tore up the place and just left it as is and didn't finish the job and we had to do fix all the repairs that he did at our own expense. Then later we discovered that Heman Govan is a registered s** offender in Bannock County, Idaho. If we knew that, we never would have hired him. Never do business with Herman Govan from Triple A Plumbing. He is definitely a con artist and will definitely cheat you.
