at first they were great on fixing my second hand car but after awhile it kept having problems and they didn't really know what was wrong and just kept guessing and costing me money. I later got a new old car and brought it in and they decided that they needed to charge me double what it should have cost, they have lost my trust and I won't go back there.

Repair was done in a professional manner. I did not feel like I could trust them. I have never returned to their business.

They are a professional shop. Timely getting my truck in. They told me what repairs were needed. When I picked it up - everything was working fine. They called me for a follow-up which I thought was a great service. I let them know the blower was still working but I was no longer getting heat. I took it back in and they told me it would cost another $400 to get into the dash to fix another part so I could have heat. They weren't exactly sure what was wrong. I didn't have another $400 so drove it through the winter without heat. I took it into another place last spring and they flushed the radiator several times and I got heat. I had other repairs there prior to this that were done fine - though higher cost than average for the area. Not sure if that was a fluke or what - but I won't go back.

Ray and crew replaced a broken motor mount on my car and did a lube job while it was in the shop. I have been to several shops in town for general car repair with just mediocre results. Since I have been going to Ray, I have been very happy with the results. They go over the car to check out the condition of more than just what the car is in the shop for repairs for. They gave me the list of things to work on with no pressure to get the work done or with them. I plan to continue to give Ray and his team all the work needed for all of my vehicles.

He told me I needed a new compressor unit and that the fan switch needed replaced.
I took it to the Nissan dealer and all it needed was a connector replaced on the switch and a new expansion valve installed on 2011 titan. total cost 196 dollars.

After months of sub-par performance from my regular mechanic, I was desperate to find a new one who could provide the kind of trustworthy service I used to have but lost. Some background:
My old repair shop, Bill and Mike's, which I'd frequented for 20 years because of great service and their knowledgeable mechanic, had hired a bunch of young guys this past summer, just before I had the broken timing belt and valves on my 2000 Honda CRV replaced. Things went from bad to worse immediately: I should have known the shop quality control had gone to s*** after I took the car out for a two-mile test drive after the timing belt and valves were replaced and discovered oil flying out from under the valve cover gasket - a valve cover bolt had been improperly inserted and the block's threads stripped; they said they'd fix it, and after they steam-cleaned the engine compartment of all the oil, I picked up the car a few hours later.
Within a month of having the engine opened up, three bolts fell out of the distributor mount, nearly stranding me on a back road 20 miles out of cell phone range, in the dead of night. A month later, a fourth bolt holding the engine block grounding wire, fell out. Another month later, the idler pulley had to be replaced, possibly because it had been over-tensioned after the timing belt repair. Finally, an irritating noise in the new idler pulley wouldn't go away as the mechanic assured me it would (it would take a couple of weeks to and quot;wear in,and quot; they said). That's when I went looking for a new repair shop.
After researching local mechanics on the Internet, I came across only positive reviews on Angie's List for Ray Campbell's Master Mechanix and decided to take my troubles there. I had the car in at 8:00am and back by 3:00 that afternoon. The problems they discovered?
1. The timing belt had been improperly replaced (off by one notch), causing an erratic idle and loss of power and mileage
2. The new idler pulley was grinding away because the belt had been overtensioned
3. And that valve cover bolt? The threads in the block were still stripped - Bill and Mike's hadn't repaired it, after all!
I was shocked at how badly Bill and Mike's had screwed up, but I was also immensely gratified that Master Mechanix had identified these whopper blunders and fixed them all - and for under $300! Needless to say, Master Mechanix is now my regular auto service shop and will be as long as I live in Pocatello.
Thank you, Ray Campbell, for providing such quality auto service to our community!
Sincerely, John W.

The employees at Master Mechanix kept me apprised of the work being performed throughout the day and called frequently to approve repairs on my car. I had the car towed to them Monday morning and my family and I were back on the road Tuesday afternoon. I couldn't ask for a more pleasant experience and will be back soon as the car needs some more attention! I am fully confident in the mechanics at this establishment and will not hesitate to return or recommend. Thank you!
